Combat does not function.
Can't attack in game. It does no damage. Only way to damage monsters seems to be by throwing things at them. Seems to be since the last release.

Hey there,

Do you have a hand enabled for use in combat (either left/right or both)?
Vaelemont Aug 21, 2018 @ 8:41pm
Yeah. I've tried it with right and left hand, and both. I thought it was just me at first, or maybe mods but it seems like even with mods off, it sti ll does it. The only thing that's been able to allow me to damage an enemy is throwing things at them. And i've done this with wooden swords, stone knives..etc.

And just in case it was a matter of enemy stats, I tried this on rats, rabbits..even a chicken. Nothing. Unless there's a solid key for combat now but I found no such thing. Walking into them does nothing. Right click only gives gather and carve options. Hotkey use just gives me a gather error.

Hmm, there should definitely not be any errors with hotkeys. Can you share your logs? More information how to do that is shown in this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=798938225 under "Opening and sharing the Wayward log file". Thanks!

Sent log file to the listed email given in that.

Thanks for that, could you also send your save if possible? There's a section for that as well in the guide entitled "Exporting your game save". Thanks in advance!

Thanks. Unfortunately I'm not finding anything out of place. I'm guessing something weird happened during some of the upgrades version to version. I'd recommend a clean install (wiping all save data) if possible. Let me know if that is possible for you (if you don't mind losing all your settings/save data). You can of course back-up/export any save games as you want, but you'll lose things like milestones, highscores, crafting recipes, settings, etc.

That's more than possible for me. Fingers crossed and thank you for the speedy replies.

You should be able to do this by using the "Remove All Save Data" option in options under "Save Data".

Its working again, although the mods aren't. A restart will likely fix that, but its all good. Thanks!
