Beta 2.7+ Wishlist
It's been a long year. The work involved in getting multiplayer (beta 2.5) and NPCs (beta 2.6) released has been a long road for us. But it's that time again; the time to help us decide on what major (and minor) features you want to see in beta 2.7 and in the future.

One of our main goals and focuses for beta 2.7 will be replayability and variety.

These wishlist threads and polls help us prioritize which features we want to work on next, and also help us discover new ideas from the community. We've implemented hundreds of new ideas and features straight from players in this fashion and have no plans on stopping.

-More decoration type blocks in general! Potted plants, hay piles, buckets, scattered stone pathways for gardens, craftable carpet from animal fur, etc! I want to build a castle and decorate it accordingly!

-Placeable. Permanent. Light sources. Pls. (Or ones that last a long time :) )

-I would REALLY love if you didn't have to kill trees to get bark from them, like having it drop in the leaves harvesting stage makes more sense and would feel more balanced.

I can’t play with my friends. There always shows "fail to connect". Is it must in LAN?

Hello Drathy, just started to test the 2.7 version and it's great. Good job, I love the new features and mouse over hints.

Found one bug though. The "Grab all" button does not work anymore on my containers, chests, backpacks including.

Hi Drathy,

the Grab all button started to work today when I logged back to game. Unfortunatelly I have moved to other island, saved the game leaving it, and now I can't get back. The game freezes on black screen with just cursor showing up. New game can be started, just the save is somehow broken. Log says this:

I can provide exported save if you'd like.

I would appreciate the save AND log if possible @spiderik - I wasn't able to reproduce the issue on my end. More on saves/logs here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=798938225 under "Opening and sharing the Wayward log file" and "Exporting your game save".

thanks for your effort. I have found yesterday there is the Bugs section on this forum, so sorry for spamming this thread. I have reopened single thread for my save there and shared the saves on discord.

Been waiting and hoping for more arrow types, like fire, poison, water/ice/tar(slowing) to allow more options for ranged characters.
Really hoping that connection bug gets fixed ASAP. I wanted to play with a friend on Christmas and I couldn't cause of this darn bug and I don't want to port forward or adjust ports/mess with my router.

As for a wishlist, off the top of my head I'd like to see:

- More enemy variety.

- Bosses.

- A built in option for the graves mod and the mod where fire doesn't burn you which is in the workshop.

- More biome variety such as swamps, tundras, frozen lakes for ice fishing, etc.

- Z Level building. For example, you build stairs in your house and climb up them. Up top is a flat roof which you can build more walls onto. The higher you go, the more the map is zoomed out to a limit of maybe 5 stories. Also basements would work like this except instead of seeing the world on a second story, you only see width of the room in which you built the stairs in as the basement room and the screen around it is black/unexplored. In order to expand the stairs you would have to mine it out.

- More furniture and building materials.

- The game aesthetic is nice, but if I could be picky, I'd love to see higher resolution map tiles.

- A mechanic for enemy projectiles to work like how it would in Touhou when the option for when your world is persistently moving is ticked.

- A custom map creator akin to Starcraft 1. Would be a neat idea for servers. You could also turn this into a custom scenario maker using the game's resources like how you would in RPG Maker.

- Why not borrow some mechanics / ideas from Don't Starve and twist them to fit this RPG?

The connection bug is fixed in the development branch if you don't want to port forward.
