FM game already running issue! HELP
since the 16.2 update everytime I try and load FM16 I keep getting the 'already running' message but it wont allow me to close the game even though I'm not in it. I've tried task manager end process etc to no avail. anybody experiencing the same or can help?

I am having the same problem, was working fine last night. Just going to reinstall it to see if that helps.

I have this issue too - but I discovered that forcing Steam to quit and reopening works... I don't think it's the game because I can't find a trace of it in the task manager... And since closing Steam and reopening, doesn't find the game still running, I'm led to believe there's an issue with the game and Steam communicating? Not sure on that...

Eitherway: Force steam to quit by task manager or force quit menu on Mac, relaunch and voila! Thing should work.

Yeah, it's a bug in one of them; probably steam since I discoverd this with another game I have. Reinstalling won't help until they fix it. Have you tried forcing Steam to quit and restarting it, to see if that works?

Yeah could be. It isn't for me, since I'm not running Avast. The posts make a good point about adding Steam library folders to your antivirus exclusions.

How do I exclude Steam library folders from my antivirus?

Which antivirus do you have? maybe just try to desactivate antivirus before to see if it's changing something for you
Even Avast for me is scanning the game now before launching, since update, (not the case before update )
