The Cave
I gotta say so far out of all the currently avaliable maps as of this post, this last one until the next is added even at the start is a right challange and definatily needs you to turtle through it putting up the defences in the right spots.

Here is a tip use your troops ahead of where you are building in this one to protect them until they are built and have an engieer at each point ready to repair them. I also reccomend at minumum 2 laser towers per defence point in certain places where 1 is not enough.

Also as you move your build focus elsewhere the enemy focus might follow, so the previous choke points might not get pressured as hard as they might at first. 1 gun + 2 lasers should work for almost all chokes.

I am finding that 2 lasers is enough at the current starter points as I am learning where they are coming from but I will keep the extra base gun in mind should each point start having issues.

You're right, assuming you've been careful when placing the lasers :-) Even I myself sometimes fail and the two turrets will have a blind spot since they got a minimum targeting range, heh.

Yea thats the trick is to keep in mind that min targeting range, I try to keep them placed in a way that they cover each other in that regard and am adding the extra gun for the larger choke points in that map as I expand out.

Btw is there an ETA on the pathing hotfix as there are certain spots in this map where they are getting stuck pathing wise and are just moving back and forth trying to pathfind towards the anomoly resources.

No ETA yet, it's been a weekend and a national holiday in here but it's the first thing we'll look into it next week. Can you confirm by "them" you mean the hexters, right? and not drones.

Correct only the hexters I don't have any drones on this map. I just keep recreating them as they die in the mean time when they get killed lol since the only push they get and sometimes into a corner is by the enemy.

edit: yea as of the second image that I posted to the previous reply my progress is now completely blocked with them being stuck the way they are when it comes to those hexters.

Can you send us a savegame with short info what the save is about at support@draconus.com? I'll have a look.

I managed to get through the map just now, what I did differently this time was not to speed activating the anomolies but only resolve them as I moved up, I think the ai for the hexters got confused in what direction to go in this regard for what to grab and got into a loop at those spots.

edit: although that said even though I got the cutscene with the gate being activated its not doing anything. I'll send through this save since that is what I have at the moment. Thats if I can find where its stored.

Wait, are you saying the level complete doesn't trigger when you get the exit conduit activated?

Correct my current save of it I was able to get to the point of activating it getting the cutscene with the chatter then nothing.

Its connected with power aswell as having the animation for it, I am just stuck in the map now lol

All good, just glad I caught it. Just let me know where the save states are well saved and I can send you them to look over.

Alright, good that you were able to get pass this.

In the future, if you encounter these kind of issues, it would help tremendously to have a savegame of the situation. As the levels are quite big, testing them thoroughly is really tedious and trying to replicate something you've described can be really hit and miss. Savegame repros will save a ton of my time!

You never mentioned where to find them in the original reply, please make sure to let people know where they are located when asking for them.

I was also premtivly redoing things differently to see if they repeated by the time you replied asking for the save. But I have not played since the new issue as such all save states are in static mode until I know where to find them to send them to you.
