What's wrong with Bunker Hill after the battle?
Hello there,

I'm asking becasue after the battle of bunker hill missin, all npcs are like in the pictute. It´s possible to interact with some of them, but this seems bugged, though it's the second time it happens to me.

There no more enemies around neither npcs shooting at each other.

Am I missing something?

Well, yes, this is what I essentially meant in my other comment.

Still... regarding to the original post... what is going on now? it's going to be like this forever?
If they're all cowering, it may be the result of the bug mentioned on the wiki page. Did you finish the quest by giving an answer to Father that got you banished?

There is a suggested console possibility for terminating the quest given on the wiki page. Though in general, you want to be very careful playing around with quests, if you've already aborted the entire Institute questline you're not risking as much.

EDIT: But remember, there are no absolute guarantees that there aren't some other quests or dialogue tied to having it still active, and shutting the quest down with the console could interfere with that. Always make a save before playing around.

Was there anyone you were supposed to find and rescue and/or murder?

Sounds like the battle isn’t over.
What faction did you do the quest for?

That could be a clue to what you are missing.

It's weird because I can buy and sell stuff. There are some BoS soldiers around but they are out of bunker hill and they are not hostile. No Railroad grunts or raiders of anykind, and no synths of course.

As far as I know, you can trigger this mission only via the institute, but in my case I wasnt allied with any faction

That’s exactly wrong. You must be with a faction to trigger this mission but you can do it for multiple different factions.

have you gone in to the basement and resolved the issue with the runaway synths?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Oh hell then this is exactly what's happening to me, twice and in two different platforms.
I need then to think what to do, because I really dislike this. Peharps repeat the mission, or simply start shooting at everybody in the institute to get banished from it.
And yes, I got banished from the insititute alredy so if I understood well, isn´t risky to fix it via console?
Thanks a lot!

As I added in my edit, it's not risk-free, but there's certainly less at stake. Personally, I prefer to just go back and handle it a different way, just in case. As you say, there's an easy way to get thrown out of the Institute, and you can exercise that whenever you want.

Well noted buddy, thanks again for the help.
