Survivial difficulty/Achievement

Is there a achievement for finishing the game on survival from beginning to end? I just came out of the vault and noticed that there is a difficulty level in the options. I would restart if there is such achievement. I also checked the achievement list but there isn't a clear hint for such achievement so maybe you guys know a answer.

I'd like to know too. I noticed it while I was inside the vault yet, but after I started. I would also like to know before I play 400 hrs only to never get the achievement.

Do not bother trying to play survival, the Difficulty level is set to normal out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ blue when the game feels like it.

I don't believe there is any achievement for playing it on survival but the game does NOT adjust difficulty automatically, atleast I have never seen it. Maybe there is a difference from XBOX ONE to PC, but none of my friends have confirmed this happening on PC.

I will say this, I have been playing it on survival since day one and I think I am enjoying the game much more than anyone on a lesser difficulty. If you don't have the patience to grind for gear and die a lot don't bother lol.

Yeah, I feel like the game is *much* more entertaining on the 1.5 patch survival mode. I really don't think you have to worry too much about grinding for gear, but you have to be ok with dying a lot.

It's definitely a different experience. You have to think 10 steps ahead. Right now, I'm trying to take the Castle - I had food, stimpaks, and water planned out fairly well, but I think I'm regretting a few of my weapons/ammo choices. Finishing everything by the boss of the castle is doable, but I'm having to plan creatively and on the fly for the queen.

I like survival because the units don't become bullet sponges at latter levels. If one raises the difficulty to very hard, all it is is units having 50 times more health and leads you to just sitting there putting 5000 bullets in one enemy. If you do easy difficulty, you have no threat of dieing and you just one-shot everything. Survival is good as it allows you to kill enemies realitivly quickly, but there is a high risk you will just get one-shot. The only problem I have with survival mode is that is a huge pain if your going to choice the minutemen play through as you often end up having to walk across the map just to defend a small settlement.

Survival is not a "broken" difficutly.

It is totally unheard of that the game changes difficulty as it "sees fit" This is not a problem there is alot of discussion about simply because it does not happen to the most of us.

Something else is causing this glitch for those very few it "may" have happened to, guaranteed.

Survival is the way to play the game, and it works as intended. It disables Achievements though so for a first run and to collect those play on any diffculty other than Survival. Beating the game on Survival is an achievement on its own.

Just dtch the Minutemen as soon as you can. Go for another faction. BOS is very cool in a Survival game (fly Vertibird)

Only mods disable achievements.
There is not any achievements only available in survival.

Also this topic is from before survival even existed. If the game came out on Nov 11, 2015 and survival was like a year later, yet this topic was started on Nov 10, 20115....

I completed survival with 0 death few with no powerarmor and drugs. Dont need play for achievement, play for your own challenge for fun.

My only poblem with survival is that you cant really play it self-found. You eather have to mod weapon trough perks or buy vendor weapon. Without its such bulletsponge.

wow, I commented here 4 years ago haha. My two cents: Survival with no power armor and no legendary weapons is one of the best gaming experiences of my life as gamer :) (of course with no mods)
