Sanctuary Power Armor bug
So, all of my power armors were stored in Sanctuary, I had an separate building for most of them and my best one was outside so I can take it on faster. It was a fully modified X-01 type. I was building something at The Castle for some thime and doying some misions too. After 7 or 8 days I returned to Sanctuary to grab my power armor as i was going to glowing sea. But then it happened. X-01 parts were only n level 3 without any special modifications. On other power armors were either stripped completely, rusty as hell or completely gone (i dont remember having so many T45 armors though) I had a box in the middle to store more parts and it contained some (possibly all) parts that were gone and other stuff (ammo etc..) that i deffinetly, in 100% didnt put there. What happened? Did the people of Sanctuary messed it up or the game just got carzy or mods broke my game?

No i dont have a scavenger npc. When i checked the power armor once again i noticed that almost all of the frames had rusty T45 armors on it with helmets ( i had only 1 T45 helmet), I thenk there were at lest 4-5 T45 helmets. Something is seriously broken.

I've seen multiple threads on this, mods commonly come up as a possible reason. I've not modded the game (I usually wait to be sure I'm happy I've completed the vanilla game to my satisfaction) and have not seen this despite having been away from sanctuary for long stretches. I've had 2 scavengers working Sanctuary.

Always remove power cores or NPCs will take your PA for a spin.

One thing I wonder if it will help will be to strip the components off and tuck them in a safe or other continaer and just leave the frames standing?

Mods that alter the settlement's cell can cause scavenged power armour frames to reset.

Here's a warning from one of them:[www.nexusmods.com]

Game have issue with CELL update. So when you change a CELL througth esp mod game will reset stance of all preset FURN (furniture) items. That mean that all Power Armor Frames you scavenge in commonwealth will be reset to their starting game values (mostly random), but all Frames bought from merchants will not be affected. That is not a mod bug. That is a game engine bug.
So if you want to use this mod make sure to preserve your power armor mods.

So a mod that affected the cell would be causing them to reset to their original state, as per that warning (bought ones wouldn't be affected).

If you're using such a mod, then that's the most likely cause of your issue.

A cell is just an area in the game. The game is divided into cells so you don't have to load up the whole map at the same time. Only the cell you are in will load up.

Basically this; note that there are no loading times between cells, though (uless switching between interior and exterior cells), and that you can see beyond the cell you're occupying, so obviously neighbouring cells will also be loaded (I think the infamous ugridstoload value controls that), with further away cells (and some highly complex cells mostly hidden with walls or environment, like big cities) loaded at a lower detail level.

True, in newer games multiple cells load up. Long gone are the days of playing Morrowind when your game would freeze to load the next cell, thank god.

Yeah, but at least in Morrowind whole cities were loaded as external cells (although of course that meant that every door had a loading screen)...

"every door had a loading screen". Don't I know it. I can hear that door opening sound I've heard tens of thousands of times in my head as I type this.

Flying over Vivec, though...
