Best "Good Ending" Possible: Peace between Railroad, Brotherhood and Minutemen Fallout 4
UPDATE: There's a better way to complete more side quest with the Institute and others before doing the nuclear option. Watch the video below with all the instructions you need.

Enjoy :)

Below is the old post. Follow the instructions in the video above.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fallout 4 has a 5th ending after all and I think is the best because you'll have tons of more game play left after the main story of the game is completed. I found this gem on YouTube and I think everyone should know about this awesome ending.

All credit goes to "The Triple S League" via YouTube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUFEeYdQnVc

The process:

Step 1: Before completing "Reunions," complete all main and both side quests (once each) for the Brotherhood of Steel recon team. Talk Brandis down from being crazy.

Step 2: Complete "Reunions" and "Dangerous Minds." (For proper completion, keep Preston at the Castle.)

Step 3:
(a) You will have received "Tradecraft" and "Shadow of Steel." DO NOT advance in either of these quests.
(b) Focus on the Minutemen as you continue down the main quest line. Use the Minutemen to gain access to the Institute.
(c) Get yourself banished from the Institute. You can play along and poke around for a bit first if you like, but if you do, you'll have to murder someone to get banished (might we suggest those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥s down in synth retention?). You may safely complete "Institutionalized," but do not progress any farther before getting yourself kicked out. Don't even speak to Father again after completing "Institutionalized." DO NOT complete "Synth Retention." (Give holotape to Sturges.)

Step 4:
(a) You will have received "Form Ranks" for the Minutemen. DO NOT advance this quest.
(b) DO NOT start "Defend the Castle." Don't even go to the Castle.
(c) Complete all quests for the Brotherhood from "Shadow of Steel" to "Show No Mercy." DO NOT complete "Show No Mercy." Don't even get on the Vertibird. Grab ALL side quests from the Brotherhood and keep them open.

Step 5: Complete "Form Ranks" and "Defend the Castle." Start "The Nuclear Option" for the Minutemen but DO NOT complete it.

Step 6: Complete all Railroad quests from "Tradecraft" to "Randolph Safehouse 6."

Step 7: Complete "The Nuclear Option."

That's it! This process will result in all factions loving you. The heads of the Brotherhood will praise your actions (except Max, who is pouting and won't talk to you). From here on out, they will not start fights and will only kill mutants and raiders. Many of their quests and side quests are repeatable. The Railroad has a whole new line of quests for you, and there is fun to be had everywhere (however, don't talk to P.A.M. after this; she wants to start a war with the Brotherhood). Enjoy your (relatively) peace-filled Commonwealth!

(BTW, if one of your companions is being attacked by another faction, this is most likely because they got hit with some crossfire while in a multi-faction battle and then shot back. This happens often...and is annoying as hell. Danse will shoot down his own Vertibird then leave you because he is mad that you shot down his friends. Yeah.)

Enjoy everyone

You dont need to Stop at Show no Mercy for BOS the turning Points are Underground Undercover for the RR and Blind Betrayal for BOS you can save Danse in Blind Betrayal in talking Maxon down but you cant go back to the Prydwin bevor you have destroyed the Institute with the Minuteman.
For Underground Undercover i think you can advanced in that Quest but dont free the Synths in the Institute.
For the Institute advance in there Questline to the Battle of Bunker Hill i think you can warn the RR about it ,go to Bunker hill but dont Attack anyone ,synrths are ok you can let the Synths go that are at Bunker Hill and kill the Coursor, aftherwards you have to meet Father at the Top of the CTU disagree with him and get banned from the Institute at that Point you fail Underground Undercover go to the RR then and talk to Desmonda she will tell you to use the Minuteman to bring the Institute down.
You need to do Institutionalized with the Miunteman you can get the Network Snifer Holotape to Ingram BOS to advance the Outside the Wire BOS quest but there is a bug she should give you the Holotape back if you ask to end the Inside Job Minuteman Quest ,she got the Dialog for that and tells you so but you dont recive it ,it didnt ^^ My Solution was to Pickpocket it from her.
It worked for me that way you should get Savepoints to be sure.

That's what Bethesda seems to think. Less options for peaceful resolution or even getting factions to team up.

It's not terribly plausible that the BoS and Railroad would ever be peaceful towards each other, because the BoS leadership insists on destroying all synths and the Railroad basically exists to give synths a chance. Not all the BoS members appear to be as obsessed and fully bought-in, but you'd probably have to wipe out the leadership and perhaps most or all of the Paladins to change their course.

If the Institute is whiped out there is no need to Destroye the remaining Synths ,they will fadde away over time as no new will be build so theres no need for the BOS to whipe out the RR.
If you think about it there was never a logic sense why the BOS needs to destroy the RR. They cant build new Synths only the Institute can.If you destroy the Institute thats the End of new Synths.

i finished tradecraft before i even started Reunions. have i stuffed it?

No Pendro, you are still pretty far off from any major descions.

On a side note, the game basically wants you to either side with the RR or the BoS. This "good ending" is actually just a forestalling of what even the endgame considers inevitable.

Should you choose, you can effectively lead the Minutemen in a war against the BoS with the RR serving as counter ops division. I beat the living ♥♥♥♥ outta them in mine and have formed the east coast equivilent of the NCR. In truth this is probably the "cannon" ending that Bethesda will go with as I can't see them allowing this chapter of BoS to live as the rest of the order has essentially been put on life support all over the country.

Plus, the game gets wayyyy more fun when you pick a side. Albiet a little more genocidal if you side with the BoS, but still fun. (MM become pawns of the brotherhood) vs (MM form the beginings of a NCR east coast and push the BoS out of the Commonwealth) vs (everyone is happy for a few months and then when you leave, they wipe each other out)

You decide which is best. lol

Unfortunate side effect of this appears to be that you will not gain access to the vertibird grenades. Brotherhood usually gives them after Show No Mercy (which you don't do) and everyone else gives them after you destroy the Brotherhood (which you don't do)
Nameless Feb 24, 2016 @ 6:03pm
not true. i have the vertibird grenades and all three of these factions are peaceful with each other.

How? What'd I miss? I'm dying to get the Vertibirds.
PhoenixFire911 Mar 17, 2016 @ 5:23pm
I like how I can still choose at any point to destroy the Brotherhood or the Railroad still :)

...Still don't have functional Vertibird grenades...

DAMN, i already completed "Show no Mercy" but i have never even met someone from the Railroad... Im ♥♥♥♥ed i guess?

Well i was a BoS fanatic in FO3 and FNV already, so i guess i go with them again.

You couldn't really use your own logic to get this ending...it is not worth it. This should have been a little more obvious.

Is OK even if you did Show No Mercy. Here is a new video that shows how to complete even more missions and still get the best ending https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRIMM0BhUEU&src_vid=lEBokqIlt_k&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_1267294829
