Help please, perception is stuck at -1 :/

my perception is -1 (should be 2) and from google research it is a bug that sometimes happens when your head gets crippled. there are numerous posts about this on reddit and gamefaqs and the like so i guess it is a well known issue.

i am playing on survival, my game is not modded at all and i can't seem to fix it. i have no diseases atm, got cured by a doctor and i tried getting my head crippled again to see if the debuff will go away but it hasn't.

is their something in survival that can cause permanent loss of stats or am i correct in assuming that all these threads on google are accurate about it being a crippled head debuff that glitched?

anyone know how to fix? i know i can use console commands and add it back but i am looking for a proper bug fix.

I used survival console mod, installed via nexus, but console didn't even appear.

download it manually and extract the files. copy the console.esp and then paste it inside the data folder

Thanks a lot. It's working. I had to reload manually console.esp in game to get access to console, and use command player.modav (player.setav didn't work). Now, i have to gain another level and set point to perception to check if everything works like it should.

I'ved read crippling your head by a raider and stimpaking it helps, ive been hiding behind a trash box and crippled my head with a Rust Devil then i stimpaked but did not help

Because the bug not fixd its still actual problem. Some opened topics with 0 answers. But alright

PROBLEM SOLVED!

If you are still looking for a solution to this problem like I was, I found a fix! It's basically doing the Med-X thing with bug poison but backwards.

Specifically for me, I was playing survival, and my Perception dropped after I was poisoned by a Stingwing and then immediately took Med-X. I was in survival and could not use console commands.

To fix, I first found another Stingwing and waited far enough away from it so it would not see me. Then, I took Med-X and immediately after exiting my Pip-Boy started a 5 minute timer (because Med-X lasts exactly 5 minutes in a survival game if you don't pause or go into your Pip-Boy). I approached the Stingwing when the 5 minute timer was almost up and got poisoned by the Stingwing just a couple of seconds before the Med-X wore off. Finally, I killed the Stingwing, and my Perception was back where it was supposed to be!

Save the game right before trying this, as it may take a couple of tries to get the timing just right.

Thanks for the answer, because i do not play the game since two years i do not remember this bug anymore but will try out somewhere next year i suppose
