HOW TO TUTORIAL - Roll back to 1.22 update
I tried this and it worked for me and should work for everyone. The files are from a Reddit user, I didn't catch his name.

HOW TO ROLL BACK

1st - Transfer your 1.8 update files which you will copy-paste back once F4SE comes out. These files are :

- Fallout 4.exe (inside the Fallout 4 folder)

Then inside the DATA folder, transfer the following :

- Fallout4.esm
- Fallout4 - Shaders
- Fallout4 - Misc
- Fallout4 - Materials
- Fallout4 - Interface

2nd - From this link you will get the files needed for the rollback. This includes all the files mentioned above which are for 1.22 version and the RAR is 300MBs because of it

3rd - Open the RAR and unzip it into your Fallout 4 folder and just overwrite everything

You're done. Enjoy playing.

Don't forget to place back the 1.8 update files once the F4SE updates.

This time I think its better to wait a F4SE update, Im tired of Bethesda and I dont want to keep juggling with archives, files, etc... When F4SE team update the file, I will play.

Do as you wish ^^

I personally don't want to wait for day/s for F4SE to come out ^^

There are mods out there that enable achievements without using f4se

you don't need to juggle all the update files, only the executable. it is generally a good idea to keep a copy of a latest working version of fallout4.exe so that it won't get overridden by a sudden update.

Your mistake is assuming the only reason anyone would need F4SE is to enable achievements...

This time the exe is not enough, Bethesda updated more files (bat, esm and anything more)

That is true for previous updates.

However, this time they also updated these files as well and using only the executable will give you a black screen once you load the game.
