F4SE Running VERY Slowly
Hey so I recently got Fallout 4 for the new PC that I built. It is a really good rig with FO4 opitimizing graphics to Ultra. However, I have run into a problem.

I ran the game once up to the character creation menu and it ran smoothly. Next came the Script Extender. I watched the video on how to do it and followed it to a T. Then I proceeded to install mods using NMM.

Most of them were cosmetic mods and only one real game altering one (I'll post a list of the mods at the bottom of this message). However, this time when I hit 'New Game' the loading screen before the intro cinematic took forever. When it finally reached the video I skipped it. THEN the character creation stage was running VERY slowly (odd thing was that the lines spoken by the characters came out at the normal speed but the rest of the game was just running really slow).

I then tried uninstalling all my mods and starting up again the SE. Still have the same problem.

Is this a fixable problem or have I made it completely FUBAR and I have to completely wipe the game and reinstall it? I am a newb when it comes to mods so it is entirely possible that I made a small mistake on the way.

Any help would be appreciated!

Mods I was using:
Lowered Weapons - Lowered Weapons 1.1
Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch - Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch
Mechanical Romance - Mechanical_Romance
Start Me Up - Alternate Start and Dialogue Overhaul - Start Me Up - Full Dialogue Prompts - version 6.1
Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer -CBBE-
Commonwealth Cuts - KS Hairdos - ApachiiSkyHair - Commonwealth Cuts 2.5
Enhanced Blood Textures
The Eyes of Beauty Fallout Kaleidoscope Edition - All-in-One

Thanks!

OP: You ARE aware, aren't you, that mods may significantly impact impact performance? Most mods are NOT written by the devs, so….

I am aware of that.

Still, the mods I have (which I followed correctly in installing) should not be impacting the game as it stands. I believe that any problems that are occurring are a result of my own mistake in the way I installed them, where I installed them, and other related ways.

I just verified the files and started a new game. It still has the same problem so it did not help. :(

I have exactly the same problem. And has no sense, it is the only mod that is causing this...
Solution: Its needed to limit fps to 60 or/and disable vertical sinc. I did thant and limit fps to the hertz of my monitor (29).

dude you have a 29 hz monitor? wow. this has nothing at all to do with the OP's issue however, and is an extremely common problem for people with higher end or modern equipment. but ... 30 hz is way lower, are you just on a tv? your lack of a mouse logo indicates you don't OWN the game on steam though.

That won't do anything for a 29hz monitor. It can't display more fps than the hz rate. Hz means "per second".
