Nuka World Raiders and Tribute Chest
I wonder if anyone could help me with this.

I've got a melee character and Power Play seems to be an opportunity to get some good perks for her. Thing is the perks I'm interested in involve siding with the Pack and the Disciples, which is good for me cuz' I don't really like the Operators.

However, I remember reading somewhere that the Operators care way more about caps and looting than their Nuka World counterparts (which is pretty obvious). THUS, their Tribute Chests would've got way more loot than tribute chests from the other two factions, making the Operators the "obvious choice" when it comes to supporting one of the three.

I don't know if this is pure troll, because I haven't found this information anywhere else. So, is this for real? Do the Operators get you more loot on Tribute Chests OR is it the same for everyone? :lunar2019piginablanket:

I personally haven't seen any noticeable difference in what the tribute chests produce with different gangs on-site, or even if you keep using the chests after wiping out the gangs and reclaiming the relevant settlements for ordinary settlers.

But to be fair, I wasn't exactly keeping track of what turns up, or which gang (previously) held a particular settlement.

If you wanted to be sure, you could look through the Creation Kit to see if there's any difference. They do seem to work a bit differently to a normal container, given the CTD if NPCs try to loot one during combat.

I really appreciate your comment! :lunar2019smilingpig:

It'd be really strange for tribute chests to change amount and quality of loot according to which group is assigned to that settlement. Could be interesting though, but siding with the Operators would be a must, since they're the only group that care about caps, good looks and stuff. Their loot ought to be the best.

I'm not familiar with the Creation Kit. At all. What would I be looking for exactly?
I originally downloaded it through Bethesda's launcher thing, if I remember correctly. It shouldn't be too hard to find, though it can take a bit of work to find what you want in it since it's an entire toolkit for working with the game.

I've read in various articles as well that the Operators give the most reward loot in the tribute chests. I've also read that the chests refill every 5 days and you need to check it because it can't hold more than 1000 caps. But really loot isn't much of a problem in Fallout 4, by the time you clear Nuka World (if you waiting to 30 for the quest to pop naturally) you should have enough loot to not worry too much about what you're missing. IMO pick the 2 that you like best and don't worry too much about the tribute chests.

I can say for certain that the tribute chests built in various settlements can hold loot that's worth far more than 1,000 caps. I don't know about actual caps, but I suspect the cap limit might be talking about the Overboss' chest back in the Fizztop Grille.

It's a bit overwhelming at first contact, but I'll take my time and get slowly used to it. Appreciated! :lunar2019piginablanket:

I've read some articles that said the same thing about the Operators. Just wanted to know about it because no one would really confirm that information. Maybe that's just some bold speculation.

I saw that too. Just trying to get the most benefits out of that.

Guess that's just the way to play it. Rewards will come anyway, huh? Thank you, both of you!
