i thought "hey imma play some vanilla and start to mod once im comfy", but no, that damn update breaks F4SE :(
As far as the auto-updates, I'm fairly sure you had to opt into beta to get CC stuff, because I haven't opted in and I don't have the update.
F4SE is coded to not run with a new version of fallout 4. You should expect this
cause the CC updated is now live and everyone gonna get it
Right now it's in my library awaiting an update but I can still keep the update at bay and run the game with F4SE.
Until you run it through Steam again if you wanted to change some settings or something.
Really depends. Sometimes they're on it the same day with a release, longest I've seen was about a week.
i found a mirror of the F4SE source on github, but so far i haven't had any luck bulding it unmodified with VS2017 and the corresponding toolchains.
man i wish F4SE gang would be a bit more open with their development
Yeah I apologize if I jumped at you, I've been dealing with entitled rage-filled socialists all morning. Your timing on entering the modding world is unfortunate.
The thing is, though, the people who make F4SE aren't paid other than donations afaik, so expecting them to be on the level with Bethesda is gonna lead to disappointment. Beth breaks their game at their discretion, modders rush to try and update and fix their mods so they don't get inundated with angry people shouting at them for daring to take so long to work on a fix.
