My criticism of the game so far is that the cards are pretty mundane, with no real special rule breaking cards with cool bonuses or something.
You added stealth, and you added stealth anti-stealth. You added air, and you added anti-air. This is all cool, but pretty straightforward and frankly kind of boring.
I hope you have plans to add real unique types of cards, like attachments to units, or facility upgrades that really add some interesting and unique rule tweaking things to the game.
For example, just typing off the top of my head - cards that let ground units have an air capability, or air units that don't have ground attack all of a sudden get a ground attack add-on. Or some cards that give facility bonuses, like a one-time teleport of an army to a distant location, or an army has a free retreat ability, that lets them retreat from a battle without taking any damage. I don't know, stuff like that plus lots more.
That's what makes games like this interesting. You never know what kind of deck your opponent has built, and the more special ablities the better.
Right now, it just seems too balanced. We need some unexpected stuff that we can put in our deck if we want, that of course takes space in your deck, but could turn the tide of a battle when played.
That's very interesting and fun to me!
I was just wonder if it was just an update to the mechanism or was it with bugfixes as well.
I still was able to combine two armies together and one of them remain "empty" (as a ghost) on the campain map (it was a single unit in stealth mode this time).
The issue you've mentioned there is a known one which we're aiming to get resolved soon, but there are still one or two situations where it can occur. Thanks for raising :)
Should todays update resolve some more issues regarding the "ghost" units? I will try to make some time tonight to start a new game anyway. I will report everything I find. Thank you for keeping the game up to date.
Any news about progress regarding the story/campaign mode release date? Am I right that it should be the last major update from the roadmap?
It's a tricky one to pin down and we've been focusing really hard on getting the new features in, so there may still be occasions where you'll see this, for example cancelling a transfer of units.
You're correct about campaign being the last major Early Access update, though we will of course be ironing out any bugs and keeping up the support :)
