Utahraptor stats (evrima) NEEDS a nerf
Looked at the balance section of the patch notes. Was expecting a utah nerf because it really does need one. Is it being ignored? Or is it still being worked on? If it's hard to survive utahs as a teno, how is a dryo going to survive.

From what I've gathered, both animals got a speed nerf. Utah got its momentum/acceleration speed reduced as well. Teno is supposed to be the tankier of the three playables so it should be manageable with less utah-teleportation. Dryo has a dodge ability, so that should help it in terms of survivability.

Not sure how good those changes are. Guess I'll have to play to find out. I'm more worried about utah damage. They're pretty freaking strong.

Damage, stam regen, and crazy healing abilities. Utah is slower now but so is teno.

Try to answer more thoroughly, you have nothing to compare or even ask for a nerf... You are calling them too "powerful" and yet there is nothing to compare them to. Why would you ask for a nerf when there are like 2 dinos in the game currently makes no sense. There is nothing to balance them against.

Utahs were speedy. Not sure how they play now since speed was reduced. But they do a lot of damage to tenos. An 80% grown utah can pretty easily take on a full grown teno. Either utah stays the way it is and teno gets a damage and health buff or utah simply gets a damage nerf. Not sure how else to put it for you. Utah just feels too strong on its own. They're meant to be pack creatures.

As the developers themselves say, Utah is supposed to fill a wolf niche, while Tenontosaurus should be the elk. There is no reasonable way a lone raptor can kill a Tenonto, just as a lone wolf has less than 15% chance of killing adult elk. Utahraptors are supposed to be rather weak creatures and very vulnerable when alone, made to live on big packs to be capable of bringing down big prey.
As of now, Utahraptor can survive two or three tail slams and run away as if nothing happened; although the strenght and weight put on it against the raptor's spine should easily break it apart and smash down it's organs and bones against the ground. On this game, Utahraptor can tank multiple hits from a Tenontosaurus - while it realistically wouldn't survive two or three of these - and kill the Tenonto with not so many bites, as if Tenonto didn't have a * thick crocodile skin over it's back (* according to the developers).

Yes. Utahraptor is overpowered. It's visible that it should be weaker, but it can 1v1 a full-grown Tenontosaurus and easily win. This does not provide an enjoyable gameplay for whoever plays Tenonto, as you constantly fear being killed by a single Utah if you make a sound, what encourages players to always play as predators, since prey is frequently underpowered (SEE "i.e.1") and predators being constantly overpowered (SEE i.e.2), and this is not healthy for the game. Even on Legacy, prey has clearly been underpowered, and predators overpowered.

(i.e.1: Triceratops being much weaker than Tyrannosaurus; Tenontosaurus being much weaker than Utahraptor. Being "weak" not only includes health, but damage, speed, and how easily it can be killed by "x" overall)

(i.e.2: Tyrannosaurus, that already has the strongest bite force on the game and can kill anything with it, also has leg break, what leaves Triceratops, that should be very capable of killing Tyrannosaurus, hopeless, with a very weak horn attack compared to T-Rex's health, and also unable of using it's stomp attack. Tyrannosaurus is a LOT faster than Diabloceratops; Diabloceratops is much smaller, much weaker and much slower, creating an extremely unbalanced situation where Diabloceratops is helpless, weak prey.)

How to solve this problem

It is simple. To provide a much more fair and balanced gameplay, I've organized a set of facts that would balance Utahraptor's stats while still making it fun, and providing the deserved experience for Tenontosaurus players.

the numbers below are used as examples and do not represent the game's real stats.

Tenontosaurus Health: 3.000
Tenontosaurus Tail Slam: 900
Tenontosaurus Back Kick: 500
Tenontosaurus Frontal Kick: 300
Tenontosaurus Alternative Frontal Kick: 250
Tenontosaurus Bite: 100

Utahraptor Health: 1.000
Utahraptor Bite: 200

Tenontosaurus can resist ~15 Utahraptor bites. A sucessful tail slam attack leaves Utahraptor with only 100 health, giving it chance to escape. Utahraptor can resist two back kicks and 3-5 frontal kicks, and can resist 10 bites from a Tenontosaurus.

If you think that resisting 15 bites would be too much, keep in mind that Tenontosaurus:
•Has a thick alligator skin over it's body
•Is not supposed to be killed by a single Utahraptor; It should be hunted by packs
•It is slower than utahraptor
•It is supposed to be *stronger than Utahraptor, and *hard prey for it (*according to the developers)
If you make Tenontosaurus any weaker, it is not going to be fun; as utahraptor is faster than it, Tenonto has no chance to escape.

The rule of balance is: if a creature can not escape, it must be able to fight back, otherwise it is not viable.

If you think that Utahraptor would be too weak, keep in mind that:
•It is supposed to be a pack hunter, and vulnerable (WEAK) when alone
•It it not supposed to survive 4+ sucessful tail slams, 8+ back/frontal kicks
•It needs to be weaker than Tenonto to give the herbivore chance of survival
•It is faster than Tenonto, so if Tenonto tries to attack it unprovokedly, Utahraptor can very easily escape.

The presence of Dryosaurus AI justifies utah's nerf, as now it can survive preying on small animals (Dryosaurus).

I have proven my point. If you wish to disagree with me, you have to prove your point and show me any way my thoughts are incorrect.
