Some useful things:
Melta/Multi Melta ignore the shields of Ground Assaults and deal damage through them.
Melta/Multi Melta still air burst grenades.
Krak Grenades and Melta Bombs stick to your enemies too.
Destructor ignore Ground Assaultt Shields (Eldar)
Stream of Corruption can be fun.
Flickering Fire can be done.
Doombolt can be steered for awesome ♥♥♥♥♥, giggles and trollololol.
If you stick with your squad, or as a duo, playing Heavy Bolter/Deffgun can be awesome fun.
Stalker Bolter can appearently switch down its scope when you press B, making it like a shotgun.
Adrenaline Vials still seem to provide 4 Stamina rolls.
Survival Vials reduce incoming damage by 40%
Abiding Vials give awesome Heal over time for 40 seconds.
Apothecary Vial effects stack. Can have all at once.
what else...
Orkz Kannon has a Snap Fire that bounces off walls for mid to short distance engagements. just click left and pray.
HEADSHOT WITH STIKKY NADE!
Orkz Poison Gas grenades rock. Triple Bundle with poison resistance even more.
Poison Grenades + Burny Syringe + Melee Life Steal Juice from Painboy
Eldar Protect reduces damage taken under the yellow Bubble by wooping 60% if i recall right.
Elddar Enforce increases outgoing Damage, cant recall the value, think 30% sounds right.
Nurgle Sorc Flesh Circle decreases incoming damage too, but think it were only 20%
Abiding Beacon seems to provide a Buff i dont know off, given i got Buff assist running on Abiding Vials.
what else...
AV is important! Vehicle Dominance can decide matches, like Torias, Medusa, Maggon or Olipsis.
Beacons stick to any surface they hit first, and provide heals AoE in a 3 dimensional manner.
That means: dont throw em on the floor, next to the grenades...
Throw em to the Ceiling above you, if there is a point over it. Like Zedek point C building, with a room below the point.
Think that covers most of the general stuff.
Edit1: Forgot 1 of the most important things. Ground Assaults and JPA dbash lasts longer than a tacticals or apothecaries, unless the apo uses a chainsword. Sorcerors and Warlocks dont suffer a shortened dbash. Not sure about Painboy.
This sums it up nicely. The team that plays better as a team tends to win.
Also Skullface’s post is invaluable, take notes.
LSM are only weak if people do not play as a team. No one wants to play as a team, so LSM are weak.
If you want to solo your way, the other factions are much better. if you CAN actually find a team who actually PLAY as a team? LSM can dominate. In my own experience, LSM were almost unbeatable IF the team played as a team. Communicated, backed each other up and worked as a team, with healers, assault and tacticals working towards a common goal. It was actually quite fun to see everyone gnashing their teeth when the 'weak' faction cleaned house.
Now? Yeah. LSM are generally weak because no one seems to get the word 'teamwork'. They were never MEANT to solo the game. Try playing a game of American football as JUST the quarterback sometime, with no linebackers or others .See how long you last against 20 players on the other team. That would work almost as well as soloing as LSM in this game.
1. it's always best to learn how this game is played and won, This is not a straight forwards shooter, kill until the other team runs out of lives, This game has objectives and a time clock, Attackers and defenders, Attackers who must become defenders and defenders who must become attackers.
2. not understanding how the game is won thru teamwork and strategy, and how you play your part is a learning curve and can be very frustrating.
3. learning your loadouts, finding which one your best at, are also a long process, you may think your conan the barbarian swinging your big power axe about, find out after awhile you suck at it, then try plasma cannon and be happy. in the meantime you might also sour on the game thinking the other races are more powerful than you, and its not fair.
4. this game from launch was half baked and has technical issuse galore, and this is made worse by a poor connection and older computer components, oh and windows 10.
5. if you melt into a steaming screaming pile of bitter bile, try to remember #4, it can be you, you just may not have the personal twitch of the guy who just killed you, you might not be as good as the guys killing you, that why teamplay is a must. But it can be your computer, and the general overall term LAG.
6. LSM.....ok well, a deep subject, can be a winning side, has all the tools to be dominate, far more weapon choices than the other 3 factions, Way more players than the other 3 factions, way more dedicated and loyal players, biggest traditional hardcore rabid players, the only faction with actual Tryhards, because thats all they want to do. Least amount of understanding Teamplay, tactics, understanding the game itself and victory conditions, Etc, et.al. Leading to continual charges of Cheating and other factions being overpowered.
7. LSM, the daily PUG, AKA, the herd of cats = Sometimes enough smart players will suddenly end up in the same Pug cycle...And VIOLA, the LSM are doing very well, most of the time the LSM pugs just keep doing the same stoopit ♥♥♥♥ over and over every battle against the same CSM team, THINKING this time they are gonna win, somehow the CSM players won't be expecting it after 3-7 games in a row of never changing anything, including starting at point A again then going C....Thru the front door everytime, while parking the undefended Rhino in the very same spot..........Thats why the other 3 factions are so OP.
Good luck on LSM, but I encourage you to pick a xenos race and put say, 40% of your time into that. You really have to learn why the other 3 factions are so OP to the LSM, you really have to learn and understand from the inside. Now you must also watch the LSM as you destroy them, watch how your LSM teamates play like they are a bunch of 10 year olds vs. men.
Watch and learn from the constant mistakes of LSM pug teams from BOTH sides, be smart enough to pick out Obvious blunders made constantly every game against the same old players on the otherside. If you attack the same way 5 or more straight losses, maybe encourage the Rockheads to maybe try something else, If your defending and after seeing the enemy keeps coming in a different door, while the LSM all guard the front door 5 or more games in a row,....be the guy who defends some other door, try to do something different.
Remember as an LSM, it doesn't make you SMARTER to be playing as LSM, the other 3 factions are not Cheating and they are not OP if they will not conform to your plan so you can win. The other players playing against you on the other 3 factions arte not bound by international law to play stoopiter than the LSM team and lose to them. There is not a stated law or rule that says the other team must lose to the LSM just because.
Use your ability to Read, and read the game hints, read some board stuff, watch ingame action from all sides and just learn.
GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN !!....cause thats not what I'm gonna say the first time I execute you.
If one faction is OP and to stupid to use it then it is the LSMs!
LSM is the quintessential 40k faction, it is bound to attract the most players meaning there is a higher concentration of new players populating it.
Dont get me wrong, it is frustrating as all hell to watch a group of allies push the enemies off the point and then fail to interrupt the capture for no apparent reason, but just calling it “stupid” won’t make things better. Players are not likely to listen to someone who yells abuse at them (not necessarily referring to you, Eggy) during a match, so saying things like “YOU IDIOTS INTERRUPT THE CAP” (and I am guilty of that too) just doesnt work.
Far better chance to get through to some by calmly explaining how to do things better, by leading by example or being very active and coherent squad leaders.
Just a thought, anyway
Hello, my name is Skullface
Welcome to Jackass.
- and then the Space Marine vs X Match starts.
Way to promote EC: Epic fail compilation with party boy theme or jackass intro.
LOL! THIS has never worked in the last two years. Good Luck with that! You will end up smacking your head into the wall, because of this "stupids" or "idiots" (like you call them).
It easier for them to cry about all the other factions are OP then learning something about the game. If you explain them what they are doing wrong then you get told you are wrong the others are OP. It is never ever their fault! They are Pros and you are a stupid ♥♥♥♥ if you dont agree with them that the other faction is OP.
As said! Good Luck with it! I have learned my lesson. Have fun with yours ;P
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but your angle won’t make a difference either. So what is your point?
Of course you cant reach to everyone. If someone adamantly refuses to see their faults and improve then nothing is going to fix that. However, out of the group of people that are bad at the game there is a subgroup of new players who genuinely want to get better. So maybe let’s try, as a community, not to alienate them along with the rest?
the game is much more than kill until its over, learn to play it or lose.
new guys might not like our bitter veteran advice about the lsm, but the advice they read about how poor little lsm players get cheated out of wins by the other 3 factions being OP and the mean dev team who won't nerf the cheaters is so biased against them. total rubbish.
i have posted my own rants over the years, and my conspiracy theories, i'm not above being angry and petty, eventually i had to see my own faults and learn from it.
new players coming into the game need to learn and see it themselves, but they need to see it from as many angles as possible and be smart enough to filter and understand .
come into this game with a concrete head filled with stones and continue to play that way, you will leave with 20 hours or less of play time and write a terrible review, meanwhile burning up the forums with posts about the poor poor pitiful lsm and how terrible the conditions are.
