We were discussing a lot about this game in the past 30 days (since the release of Strikey Sisters), but we always come to the same conclusion: it's not worth working on this game anymore. We really want to do it, we even started porting it to a new game engine, but... it's definitely not worth. So, we have to keep moving and develop new -and less niche- projects.
In fact, we were exploring the possibility of a full remake from the ground up, with brand new rules for ships and power ups, more levels and bosses, extended soundtrack, cleaner sound effects, better UI, etc. But this would be basically working on a new project and, definitely, this game genre is not a best seller. Making a game like this is financially risky. The project cost is the same as any other project and genre regarding time and money, but its target is quite niche. So, we can't afford it.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your interest in this project. If we ever work on it again, or make a reboot, we'll let you know.
Dani
I'm not gonna lie, i'm a bit sad, out of your three games Super Star Path is my favourite one, but I completely understand the business decisions you have to make to succeed as a game developer.
I really wish you the best guys, like I told you before, I will keep supporting you on the future.
Greetings.
Totally worth it imo.
You dont even need to rework it just add stuff.
I mean if you're gonna judge your own games is it ok if I do, strikey sisters was not my cup of tea I do not like block breakers this game is highly addictive, its a good idea, its got a new concept...
Its oldschool, its got beautiful oldschool graphics, the voice actors cool... I dunno how this is defininetly not worth it why do you guys doubt yourselves, the audience is not niche many gamers grew up with space shooters.
After 3 years since its release, we can do this game 10x better now. So, if we ever work on this concept again, it will be a reboot, and it will be amazing.
But first, we need to release another new game in order to gain a stable income to maintain our small company and keep making games.
