Where's your source of proof?
My proof is that I've got a massive thread where I gave people loot for fighting me, and nobody ever told me they couldn't pick up an infused weapon on their new character because of its infusion and their lack of coal.
The only restriction on dropping eligible equipment to others is the receiving character's highest upgrade.
Oh yea, the word of some random "so important" hero is of course proof enough, I get it. So why don't you just help the OP and give him his weapon if you're so inclined about being right and have done similar just so often?
Read through it then. Only random one here is you spreading misinformation. I've been here a lot longer than you. And if you could read, you'd see I don't just give people stuff without any effort on their part.
And OP, if you haven't gotten it yet or nobody's given you one, I'd be up to let you fight me for one. It'd at least be PvP practice, and I wouldn't even ask necessarily for a victory. Just some PvP rounds, win or lose, and I'll give you one. Rules in the link.
Though, fextralife seems to still be "the most accurate" when it comes to DS3, simply because it's the only somewhat complete one around. Wikidot (my go-to wiki for DS2, because it gives actual sources) is full of stubs and wikia is even more deserted. Dunno why there isn't a decent DS3 wiki anywhere by now.
Sorry dude, but wiki is not right. I do the same with my friends since day-one, and I have 715 hours of playing.
The only restrinction of trading is your max weapon level.
Every level of a special weapon counts double.
It's one thing to say the wiki (and thus my information) is false on that one saying that you have done different multiple times instead of calling people names, ranting and being like "I have that big of a charity thread I am such an important person - read it. Nobody ever complayined."
People are here to receive quick help and tipps, and that's why I am here for as well. Based on own game knowledge and wiki I gladly give out information where I can. And sometimes it might be wrong because I don't know better. Some overblown ego because of some imaginary internet niche fame along with an attitude like Justin Bieber just doesn't qualify to behave like an utter butthole to those responding here.
That's not your fault, but I feel knowledge over the topic would be gained rather easily if you played the game enough. I have, and I was correcting you, and you refused to believe me. I'll apologize for "acting like a butthole", but I wasn't trying to act like I have some imaginary internet niche fame. More like " hey I have a stupid amount of time in this game because I'm a loser, I think I know what I'm talking about and you're spreading misinformation".
I was pretty sure my profile is public, so you could see I have like 1.5k hours in this garbage.
