Anyone Know The Best Way To Farm And Grind Silk?

I'm here in Pale Vale trying to throw out seeds all over the places
but it feels like nothing I do will make them grow. Do I need to use
the hoe to make the soil like I would cotton or..?

Silk is just confusing and complicated to me. I don't know if I'm doing it
right, but if anyone has any tips or what not, please let me know =)

If you use a hoe on soil it will make that soil fertile. If silk is a plant, and I don't know if it is because I haven't gotten it yet, then it will grow faster on fertile blocks

Hoe will make it way faster to grow. Silk grows only in frozen worlds. Planting is broken ;D You can't farm plantable stuff you must go to their biome and plant them in place where you took them

they grow suuuuper slowly, for me better is to visit all frozen worlds and take all silk from them.

Does silk or other plants grow in worlds you are not currently in, or must you be active in that world for it to grow?

I've noticed that plants only grow when you're on that map. Just based on planting berry bushes in world 1.

I knew that since day one =P I think it takes 4-3 in-game days for silk to fully grow bliack when placing a seed down. Buuuut I'll test that eithe tonight or tomorrow when I come home from work! Would really like to learn the times in which things grow.
