Visiting past events I missed.

So I am in the process of visiting the missed seasonal events I had missed as I had gotten the game just a short while ago by changing my computers clock to when they took place.

I created another universe and made it small to make completing them easier and so far it's been fun not to mention getting all the nice looking blocks / furniture that I had missed

Halloween

This seems to be working now after the game has been released and there are a few decent pieces of furniture and vanity items to get from the zone.

The big doors are my new favorite items from this zone.

There are also some npc's hidden in a maze with various recipes and different colored lanterns to sell however no quests as far as I found but still worth a look.

Christmas / Winter Wonderland

Not a lot of quests but some decent decorations and a shop with some vanity items and 2 pets from the zone not to mention snowballs that will be fun in multiplayer.

The Emperor's Courier / Spring Festival

A incredible event that not only has a lot going on but some of the decorations are incredible, I am looking at you jade blocks of both types and the doors, not to mention a very nice dragon pet and an entirely new island that you can unlock to build in as it stays around forever.

This is one I loaded on my main world also as the island will be there for me to play around with.

Egg Hunt

I have not done this one yet however looking at the wiki it looks like you only need to worry about grabbing some eggs and crafting the decoration with it but it does look like a fancy decoration to show off in your treasure room.



Are they any others I may had missed as I would be interested in visiting them also?

In either case the Spring Festival will be keeping me busy for awhile as I still need a lot of the drops as it seems recipe heavy from monster loot and they are a ton I still need to get.

Halloween - October 31

Like I said before but this one did not work for me even though I got the event happening yet I could not find the portal in either my main universe or my newly created one so it will be something I will need to try again at a later date but give it a try and see if it works for you.

Just make sure you backup your game folder somewhere in case it doesn't like something and remember to place your clock back to normal afterwards.

I'm asking out of redundancy (a trait of mine), your preferred method of backing up your files?

Literally just copy the game folder and save it to a drive?

And then if I want to swap them out I would delete the folder and replace it with the original?

Anything I'm missing?

I just make a copy of the game folder myself in a new folder on my desktop before doing this.

Sometimes I will back up the individual worlds also when I need to delete a certain world either to refresh resources or I don't like the layout and it's a bit laggy because of some issues the game spawns the worlds with and that's just a matter of copying the 2 files for the individual world.

Just make sure everything is fine after doing these edits before replacing the backed up folder again after you tested things like your home world is fine and your characters are normal and you tested the changes you did.

That is the simplest and easiest method. I have a number of universes, so I back them up differently. Each universe I create has a separate folder, where each of the universe and island files are copied to.folders that bear the descriptive names. I have 6 islands, so I don't have to worry about accidentally overwriting part of a universe.

Example: I have Samsara, Dharma, Bonzai, WhatIDo, Buildmat, and Universe 3. Each of these gets copied to their own folder so that shared friend worlds don't get overwritten, or alternately if I have people come to visit nothing gets destroyed or lost.

If three universes is sufficient or too much, don't worry. If you have different groups of people you play with or like to keep different universes for different purposes and characters, this may be something to consider.

Changing the date for the egg hunt worked like a charm. Only thing I didn't saw coming was the reset of the Xmas event.
