Wow... this game was truly great.
I just finished the campaign. Not only are all the mechanics very fresh and fun, but I also really appreciated the writing and commentary. You also selected a brilliant person to handle the music. This is one of my favorite games of all-time. Thanks for making it!

:D :D :D
It means a lot to me to hear this! Thank you!

(...I have to ask, which ending did you get? Did you pick up on the fact that you have an option after you beat the final boss?)

Oho, I did not! Very very interesting. I see now why it was so easy, perhaps. Good on you for including a choice at the end if I understand correctly.
MPO Sep 7, 2015 @ 8:14pm
That just means I'll have to play it again :P

Oops, it actually wasn't super easy - I think I just lucked out with my team, haha.

Wow. I feel ashamed that I didn't realize that was a choice at the time, but I guess that's the commentary kicking in again. That was awesome. Is the player's name a reference to something?

Please include me when you make your next game and need help of some kind. I have some means to get eyes on stuff and am happy to help with testing, etc.

I'll also put your game on my profile's Featured Games.

Also, if at this point you are comfortable with handing out a set of free game keys for me to distribute, I have the means to do that. The devs of The Stanley Parable and Goscurry allowed me to do the same thing after I got to know them, and it generated some nice buzz. Totally up to you.

Ha, yes, ashamed for missing it is exactly the goal of that design. I wanted to reward pangs of consciousness and rebelling against the presented objectives of the game.

I'd be glad to have your help with future playtests! I *am* taking a bit of a break from development after this, but have a couple projects on the backburner. You can enter your email here for future announcements: here.[docs.google.com]

The pilot's name at the end is supposed to be punchy and drive home the idea that while you've been saying "oh haha silly computer" and playing the game, there's been a pilot silently fighting for her life the whole time. It's supposed to upset (at least a little) the assumption of a silent, blank video game protagonist. However, I feel like the delivery is a little confusing; it's set in a way that seems significant, but it's not clear how. But whatever, I think a little ambiguity is fine.

Sounds good. Steam automatically removed the link you gave, unfortunately. Maybe break it up?

And I did feel that come through at the end, the pilot thing. Finally seeing her character portrait too. Very nice touches.
