Is there any skill that can defeat Apollo?
I have never won a duel with Apollo.
I'm probably the worst Spheromancer :(

Stronger gear always help, also study Apollo's attacks. I had a hard time with him at first, but after getting the idea of his attacks, I was able to beat him.
The best skill for defeating Apollo isn't any of Lea's, but your ability to pilot her. You'll eventually discover that there's a very good reason for ol' Monsieur Grasshead being better at CrossWorlds than you are.

Here, check this video of me defeating him without using any gear:

You just need to practice a lot, I suggest making save states before each battle so you can return to that point and fight Apollo as many times you need.

There's also New Game+. Looking at the achievement rates, there's a significant minority of people who don't bother winning against him because it doesn't affect the plot.

When in doubt where you feel its impossible to beat him, remember New Game+ has variety of stuff that'll help you get your achievements easily. In this case, Sergey Hax will easily help you defeat Apollo.

Though prepare to get criticized by him lol.

I mean, yeh, there's the New Game+, now if they're looking for a "honorable" way to defeat Apollo then theere's no other choice than training and test different sets of equipment.

I suggest you as well going training with Master Sensei at the INFO Hub Dojo building, located in Rookie Harbor, but you'll need at least Heat and Cold elements unlocked so he can train ya', that's where I learned most of ma' Melee movements.

It's not really "remember" if you haven't beaten the game yet. Just saying...

You can still progress through the game whether you win or lose against him. My point was if someone gave up, remember theres a easy way through it.

Again, they're not "remembering" because they didn't know about it until we told them.

Okay, "keep in mind", satisfied?
Just level up enough, and get gear upgrades before progressing to his area, I guess. At least in the first fight, I beat him with mostly just dodges and regular melee combos. The easiest strat for me seemed to be to dodge his projectiles while closing for a melee combo after his attacks, then dodging away again.
