However those purple and green power from what I remember are quite tricky to pull off on puzzle rooms if you haven't played for long time.
If I were you I would continue from your save. Every time I quited was due to the "big brain time" but also when I came back I managed to solve puzzle it just took me way more time than it should.
I had that issue, even after finding everything, I couldn't get the monster percent counter to 100%, so in the end I unfortunately had to edit my save to "cheat" to 100%.
They aren't major but it's nice to see some changes that don't really hurt the game in any way from what I can tell.
