Achievements not syncing?

I've played for a few hours and gotten the first few in-game trophies, but have not gotten any corresponding Steam achievements. I'm not playing offline, I've checked my connection repeatedly, but the achievements just won't seem to unlock. Playing on a Mac too.

Any advice?

Defenestration, to my knowledge there’s still no way to fix the problem on Mac. The same problem can occur on Windows and it has a fix, but the program you need for it doesn’t have Mac support. I still recommend playing through Crosscode though because it’s a fantastic game. Plus it has Cloud Sync, so when you get the opportunity to sign into Steam on a Windows device, you can install Crosscode and all of the achievements from your save file should unlock upon opening your save.

Achievements are not being unlocked on Steam Deck 😕

EDIT: They do unlock when starting the game on Windows so at least there's that
