Save File for DLC?

I'm really looking forward to the new chapter as CrossCode is one of my very fave games!

However pretty sure I won't have my saved game from before, as I always delete them before moving onto the next. So does anyone know if the DLC be playable from the main menu, or will it require previous completion? Because if it's the latter, I won't be prepared to play through the whole game again, and would obviously rather know before I decide to purchase it!

(FYI I got 100% in the actual game but didn't bother with the achievements that required loads of grinding)

You will need an endgame save to start it, yes, but someone could certainly provide you with one if you need it. I don't really understand the logic in manually deleting your save files on completing a game, though.

afaik the game uses steam cloud so unless you erased your cloud save (I don't even know if that is possible) then just use that.

I can't remember tbh. If you're able to delete save files from the load game screen, then that's what I would've done. However if you can't, and the files are stored within steam cloud rather than the user's app data folder, then mine should still be there if I reinstall!

You were right Slysoft! Luckily my autosave is still there :)

I must've left it alone in preparation for the DLC release ^^

Sorry for digging up this post, but could anyone here share their endgame save via dropbox or something? I switched over to a new PC and lost my previous save, and I didn't have steam cloud on at the time. I desperately want to go into the DLC, but going through the whole game again is just too much. Thank you all in advance!
