CrossCode as a 3rd-person game with multiplayer and PvP
I had a dream last night that i was playing in a tournament with shroud and other streamers and the game we were playing was a 3D 3rd-person version of CrossCode PvP. This led me to make this post about what if CrossCode was in 3rd-person and had multiplayer? I would love to play a 3D version of CrossCode like this and think other people would enjoy it very much as well. Its like how risk of rain made their second game 3D and it was a big hit. I think CrossCode could be the same if it went 3D and had a multiplayer aspect to it as well whether it be in just exploring or in a PvP tournament style arena fight.

Sadly, (and also very ironically) there are a fair few issues with making CrossCode multiplayer. The game is constructed solely off the assumption that only one person is playing through the campaign. Multiple people would throw off numerous design decisions that had to be made early in dev.

Secondly, Radical Fish have been developing CrossCode for an insanely long time. That's why the game is as big as it is. And very understandably, they want to wrap things up with this series now and start on a new project. (Although by all accounts, they're super psyched for it, and I by extension can't wait to see it.)

For me, as (non game) developer all sounds as realistic as "Make a Tetris a dungeon-crawling RPG". Not completely irrational, but enogh to think about writing another game from scratch.

Projections-projections...

Idk I feel like it read more like 'i had a dream about sonic advance, but really it was sonic adventure 2 battle '

As a tetris Addict I kinda like that far fetched idea... Like progress controlled by score or like random tetris battles kinda like Pokemon in wild grass

all the things you mentioned, plus...."making the game 3d", that is literally a different game bro.....

But I agree, it would be cool if crosscode had a multiplayer area. just a place where players could join. kind of like GW1
