Illusion of Gaia Reference?

There is a guy in Rookie Harbor thats sitting in a spot that really reminds me of the hangout of the main characters of illusion of gaia, when you approach him, he says "i swear there was an entrance here. It's really far fetched, but if it's a reference, then it's a really good on.
If you've played TIOG and get what i mean please feel free to tell me you got the same vibes.

Are you talking about the guy sitting near the Info building? I think that's a veeeery big stretch. Illusion of Gaia is a classic though. Really loved that game as a kid. Still have my cartridge!

That would be a pretty obscure reference but I really want it to be true now because that was one of my all-time favorites growing up!

yeah, it looks like a really unlikely reference, im just being way to nostalgic. love how much this game reminds me of Gaia, Chrono Trigger, and the like. i havent even got very far, and all the memories are flowing back. Took me so long to finish TIOG because of the vampire valley or whatever puzzle.

Yeah I got stuck for a long time in the Sky Garden as a kid, I couldn't get one of the orbs or whatever you had to do there. You're talking about Mu, I think. That was a huge roadblock for me. Big jump in difficulty! Ass for CrossCode, I'm brand new to it also. I love it so far. Close to six hours and I feel like I'm still at the beginning because I spend so much time exploring and messing around. Can definitely tell this will be a great one.

i started it but, and got pretty far on a emulator, but i lost my save and havent played it since. I need to get back into it. It was so good!

Yeah I'm in the US so never got Terranigma, but I played a decent chunk on an emulator- maybe halfway or so. That was years back so I'd have to redownload. Maybe someday. Always a big fan of Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia though

Not sure if you'd call it a reference but here goes:
Activate Sergey's hack for ludicrous damage on new game plus
During the rescue of Lukas' Evotar stop and murder the security brutes instead of running from them
It's a scene straight out The Matrix Reloaded - Designer says "More." and security brutes pop out of the woodwork from all sides like Agent Smith does.
As a side note, you can level up to 99 in the course of 2 or 3 minutes doing this, if you can survive the trip to the escape beacon after.

a good easter egg for illusion of time/gaia would have been the golden boat for sure, that thing was impressive
