So'najiz temple boss is ridiculous
This is the giant starfish blob. He's almost impossible to dodge, he does huge damage every time he hits, I have to stay in one place for too long anyway to activate an electric ball (so he hits me and spoils the combo I'm trying to set up), it's nearly impossible to get to a button to redirect a ball in time, and the ball doesn't do any damage anyway -- I can't even figure out how to scratch him in the microscopic amount of time available before I die. Plus every time I fail, I have to go through the lengthy introduction again, with _two_ cutscenes and a required fight. This is making me want to quit the game.

I felt the same way. Once you get him once though, his size decreases each phase and his attacks don't cover nearly as much ground as before. He's not a threat as long as you memorize his attack pattern, which is already limited

Its very possible to dodge him in this bosses case it requires alot of heavy pausing/waiting in between your dodges and his wind ups.

And if it helps if you have assault passive stacks you can just slash alot of random shock eletric balls around with melee much faster then tossing balls into the ball generator.

With that boss, you gotta use the electric ball after you break it, if I remember right, right? So I think that you can charge the ball, break it, stand near the button(ball's already charged) and send it to the boss.

On the early phases, before it puts up a barrier, you don't even need the button, just get behind the ball and melee it.

So here's how the boss works:
First, you load it up with Shock attacks to fill its break gauge. Once it's broken, you charge up a shock orb and fire it at the boss. It's vulnerable now, tear into it. Second phase, break it again as usual, but now instead of firing the shock orb at the boss, you fire it at the wall, and use the button and orb launcher. Then for the third phase, you repeat what you did for the second phase, but after the first orb launcher fires it, slide to the button below/above you real fast to launch the orb again. The fourth phase, you don't have to break it, it's just a slugfest now.

You know you can skip/accelerate through cutscenes by hitting 'g'? (At least, that's what it defaults to for me.)

My huge gripe with this boss is that at 3rd break it's impossible to see where redirected ball goes and that i have to use other switch. Everything else i got pretty easy, but this... /ragequit after 5 useless tries. :steamsalty:
Even after i wiki'd this i pretty much accidentally successfully redirected this at 3rd or so try and was about to quit again. Atleast, it was easy after this

Yeah, slime is an awful boss IMO, and a lot of it is because of his tiny, misleading arena. He floats in the center whenever he's not attacking which makes you think you're supposed to use the shock orb things, but actually you're supposed to break him with regular shock attacks first which sends him into a different set of attacks that are...kind of easier to dodge, but he only does 3 of them before his break resets. It really doesn't help that the only real way to stand on a button in time is to fire your charge shot from next to the button, but that opens you up to accidentally shooting the ball the wrong way around the arena because you angled your shot too far in one direction or the other, because you're shooting into a right angle from almost directly above it. Which of course wastes the ball and forces you to start the phase over.

Tesla boy is much better. The arena is much bigger, the boss's attacks are much less likely to hit you, his weakness is the HP/regen element instead of a glass cannon element, and the timing on his phases is much more generous. The only advantage slime has is that you don't need to break him in phase 3.

The boss is fine really. Once equipped, you can just play smart against it and win easily if you know when and where to evade. After that, it's all a good smacking till its final desperate phase.

So'najiz boss was much easier than the Zir'vitar boss for me, personally. I think your biggest issue was charging up the lightning ball.

...Just melee it at a wall, then run to the switch you need based on which direction it flies. If you have any Assault at all, it charges up and fires in 2 hits. No need to do any careful aiming.

The boss is also very telegraphed and repeats the same attacks in a set sequence which you can literally dodge by moving/dodging around the block in circles. To break the boss, just charge your SP and use the LightningThrow2 Art (Radiant Swarm) as he's charging up his ranged attack. It's an instant break.

There are some moments when you can get frustrated and think... come on, this is too hard. But when you discover how to beat them it becomes somewhat easy. Always look if objects appear in middle of the fight, thats because you should use that to break them and deal the heavy damage.
Also the timing to dodge. In the future look up to: make a quick dodge to put distance from the attack but chain that dodge with a change of direction one. Like one to the side (or 2), and one up or down. This is mostly useful to dodge almost every melee attack.
I am still at debt with the perfect guard. I would like to practice it in the future, if you can somewhat master the timing i guess that you can be pretty much god haha.

Usual boss of this game
ksleet Oct 6, 2018 @ 8:59am
I appreciate all the suggestions, but seriously, this guy's attacks are impossible to dodge. Im-poss-i-ble. The splash radius is enormous, way outside of his actual sprite. When he lunges out of the center, he doesn't anticipate my move - he just heads directly for where I am, and I can't get out of the way. The second phase is even worse as he does two lunging hits, trapping me against the wall for double damage.

And every time I die and have to try again? UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENE! Yes, you can hold down a button to fast forward, but you have to stop in the middle for a useless fight against the little blobs... which will probably suck down some HP if you're unlucky, and interrupt your buff sequence. Really, that's adding insult to injury.

Seriously, this is too frustrating. I'm done.

some peoples reffered this game to a "dark souls" like game when it comes to certain bosses. what do you want? a boss which just stands still and waits until you hit him really hard? i mean, if you ever played dark souls know you for what you are in here and if you whining already about this boss will the later bosses break you within seconds.

me in person like chellenging bosses and they should stay as they are+you can dodge him, you are just too slow!

stop focusing on high DMG combos on that boss your primary thing here is focusing on dodge and attack when he is vulnerable and not "i release my strongest attack cause it does tons of damage but is super slow" do that in darksouls and you will always die!

oh yea ... and i repeat myself ... if this boss makes you crying around already and frustrates you ... oh boy ... you will melt on your own into a blob later when ya reach a "specific" boss which i dont want to spoil *giggles* with which i had a lot of trouble =3

and btw unskipable cutscene? when i press pause (for the options menu etc.) was i able to skip cutscene there *shrugs*

Run around until he moves towards you and just dodge perpendicularly to him before he hits you... Really, it's clearly not impossible to dodge because tons of people have gotten past that point. I could probably do that fight with glass cannon equips. If you're really having trouble, optimize into survivability with your equips...

If you wanna break the game, just maximize defense on your equips and Circuit, use the Cold element, and use HP Regen buff items. You should be taking very little damage from the boss.

Alternatively, do the Zir'vitar Temple first and pick up the Wave element if you're really finding it impossible. All the challenge goes away, as you'll have high resists...
