On the other hand, since this clearly past April Fools: lachsen, how the heck did you get JavaScript to work on a console?? Good job...
There's built-in browsers on PS4, Xbone, and Vita. Supposedly there was some issue with Switch's JS implementation.
On PC, they're using a specific old version of NWJS specifically because newer versions have worse performance with some of the canvas stuff they're doing. So it's definitely not as easy as dropping the PC code into a console browser and packaging it. Seems like lachsen et al put it in a lot of work on this, so it's awesome to see it come together and will definitely help its sales, especially in Asian markets.
Our publisher Deck13 takes care of the port. That way we can make sure there won't be further delays of version 1.0 for PC (because of console ports anyway). That's also why I currently don't know the details on how the port works exactly (hope to learn a bit more about it soon).
The idea is to have a good JS/HTML5 interpreter to run the game on consoles. It's not simply porting NW.js
Already own the game on steam, will buy on PS4 as soon as its out, this game is great, cannot wait for the official release!
