I want to punch the dude in the face who made lost kin.... the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ orange ghosts aren't even dodgeable.

yeah Lost Kin is awesome. Its the only correct way to do adds in a boss fight, make them 1 hit kills

If you feel like you are struggling at some boss in HK, you can always just pin it to the map, and leave it for later, after acquiring more upgrades, abilities, spells, charms and generally more exploring. Most of the things in HK are completely optional.

Dream Bosses are rather later-game bosses, best approached with all upgrades and abilities - especially for a new player.

If you decide to fight Dream Bosses too early, it's your own decision of asking for trouble. The game is not linear... everyone's path in the game will be different according to their playstyle.

I trust that you will be able to detect what challenge may be currently too hard for you so you will know that your can always return to it at a later point.

I love broken vessel/lost kin, you just need to practice my good sir, it's moves become easy to predict, ghosts can be taken out in a second with an upward swipe

Crystal Heart? Except for using it to get to the area, I'm not sure how that would be useful during this fight. Even if you tried to use it just to cling to a wall, you'd just get jumped on I would imagine.

(Also, if you can pogo consistently during LK's ground dash (or quickly get behind it and cast a fireball), or if you can just be ready to normal-dash away as needed, you don't need Shade Cloak for this fight at all. It can definitely come in handy though, just like the down spell's i-frames + damage.)

I don't think I ever used crystal heart in boss fights, except maybe to slam into Zote

Equip Steady Body and Quick Slash, preferably Mark of Pride as well. Once you stagger him, hit three times, then use Descending Dark (which will iframe his attack and sometimes kill the ghost) and then quickly attack three times again, at which point the boss will stagger again, and you can repeat the process. It's not a combo that will lock the boss in place or anything and you still have to react to his moves sometimes or deal with ghosts with your normal swings, but consistently adhering to that specific combo should at least make the boss fairly trivial to beat. The only time you have to change up your combo is if you fail to hit him fast enough so that his stagger timer resets. It'll look something like this.
