How the heck do I fast travel in the game?
So I've been traveling for some time and finally arrived at the capitol but how in hell do I fast travel because I'm not really feeling like walking half of the map back to my home town becase I forgot to collect some flowers.

There should be an Eternal Ferrystone in your storage now (or soon). Grab that and you're good for Gran Soren and Cassardis. You'll need items to set up other fast travel points though.

Check your item storage in Gran Soren's Inn. There should be an Eternal Ferrystone in there for you.

Place Portcrystals (these are rare) as markers anywhere in the world. You can warp between those using ypur Freeystone. You can also pick them back up and place them somewhere else if you like.

You need a ferrystone.

Man, you would've hated my first playthrough. Before Dark Arisen, there was no Eternal Ferrystone and I just ran everywhere all the time. Loved it, though the Assassin's Gale Harness was pretty much a necessity.

Portcrystals are found, in order of ease:

Pawn Guild, Everfall basement - start a quest but you don't need to finish to acquire it.

Hillfigure Knoll - inside the little cave nook where the Dragonforged sits.

The Shadowfort - inside a cell in the basement.

Witchwood - requires quest called "Witch Hunt" to access.

Bluemoon Tower - requires quest called "Griffins Bane" to access.

Portcrystals can be placed anywhere in the overworld and then teleported to upon using a ferrystone. There are also three permanent Portcrystals already in game, at Gran Soren, Cassardis and Bitterblack Isle.

You can find them again in New Game plus, as well as buying more from Montebank for 200,000 each. I think you can have 10 placed in the world at any one time - not sure if the three permenant ones count against the 10, though.
