Any way to quickly increase Vocation Rank?
Hi All,

I had a lvl 25 / rank 9 fighter that I was looking to turn into a Mystic Knight. I understood leveling sorc first would improve the class. So I changed vocation (and spent a nice 50k to outfit) to Sorc and realise I hate the class (and the savepoint is now after I changed). In order not to have wasted 50k (I am a cheap sod) I want to press on and level up the sorc rank.

I understand this would have been far easier if I had done it post dragon but I was impatient :)

So my question is, is there a good way to quickly increase rank (for a lvl 25 char) without gaining far to many levels / progress to far in the story? Plan is to (if pos) grind out the Sorc to rank 9, then switch to MK and continue on my adventures.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Near the Greatwall Encampment, during the night, a Wight spawns. It continuously raises Undead you can slaughter for fast DP gain. It's a very popular place to grind out Vocation ranks :)

I leveled up my Sorcerer rank there by using 2 Fighter Pawns to tank the Undead while I hit them with High Comestion.

DCP are tied to XP gained ,the ideal XP gain for much DCP is around 90 XP . killing tons of goblins or other little trash will do perfectly.
to do it even more faster , you can grab the ring of perseverance on BBi , you can equip 2 of them . and the asura armor that unlock from the pawn guild board quest .
with all of that you will rank up vocation really quick :)

Thank you very much!

As said, Ring of Preseverance (2x if you are silly), Asura Armor. Go to the nobles quarter. This is only for post game, but it's the fastest method. The guards are worth like 85xp and you should be able to mow them down very fast. This is also superior to every other method because the less XP you get per kill the higher the ratio of DCP to XP, in short, you will gain more vocation levels and make less progess to character levels.

Just remember to equip the armor first THEN the rings or it won't work.

Just make sure to bring status cures for Poison and Silence, it's best to do this when you have access to the resting area at the Greatwall.

This is only good if you wanna level Vocation without Levels. There was no mention of this in the OP :p Fastest way is killing ♥♥♥♥ that yields more experience :)

It takes like 10-15 minutes to get to rank 9 this way... and this isn't the kind of game where you grind for levels, you can do BBI content at level 1. So, unless level grinding is fun for you because one of your parents is Korean, there's no point in doing it.

The OP actually does say:

Though how many levels are "far to many levels" is debatable.

Yeah, you can't do BBL content at level 1. You won't do any damage and everything will kill you in 1 hit.

My point is you might not care about the extra levels. Didn't say anything about grinding levels. Stick to the topic.

Actually, you can do damage. They're called Throwblasts ;)

Hi all,

Thanks for all the feedback!

The clarify, was wondering if there was a way without gaining too many levels mainly because I want to experience the actual content of the game (quests etc) as MK. I know there are 200 so mainly this is kinda mute - so to restate - would like to do this without actually going through quests/content if at all possible.

This does exclude post game content as I want to finish the main game as MK and would also like to do BBI at the appropriate level as an MK too.

So will look at the Great Encampment and also maybe go through some of hte lower level areas at night looking for Goblins to slaughter - this sound ok?

Again, thanks for the feedback!

If you wanna avoid levels, Greatwall isn't the best. Follow PerfectLife's method, will give you better results!

Just make sure not to kill the Wight, he takes 7 days to respawn ;p
