The sound mixing is too low - extremely quiet audio.
As the title says, it appears the sound mixing is too low resulting in extremely quiet audio. Either that or the game is defaulting to a surround sound setting internally, while I have Windows (7) set to 2.1 - there is no option to select Stereo or Surround mixes, so I'm not entirely sure what the issue is.

That said, I'm having to crank my speakers beyond what I usually consider comfortable to be able to hear anything at all - at this volume setting on my speakers, music and sound (and other games) are pretty darned loud, so something is definitely up.

Didn't work for me either. Neither have any other fixes I've found searching so far.

It is awfully quiet on max volume. Hard to hear what anyone is saying.

Agreed. All the audio is far too quiet, but the voices are especially quiet. Only way to remedy it all currently is to lower everything but the voices and then I guess crank my speaker sound. Definitely needs a patch to fix the mixing.

This setting is under graphics settings and has absolutely nothing to do with volume. It actually means "Stereo 3D" and is the setting that enables 3D support for people who use Nvidia 3D Vision or other 3D glasses.

It should work though. Are you sure you did everything correctly? On W7: control panel -> change sort by category to small icons from the top right corner -> sound -> select your sound device(the one with that green "yes" mark) -> go to properties -> go to playback -> now enable it from there -> press ok to save settings.

A good pair of gaming headphones is the only solution that works, for me, at the moment.

Worked for me. Thanks!

Loudness Equalization worked for me as well. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem, the game is too quiet even with the speakers set close to the max sound level. The Loudness Equalization is also missing in Windows 10.

Me and a friend have this also, i use a headset with system volume at 100% but it's too quiet, if i enable Loudness Equalization it's better but the mix changes and teamspeak volumes go all over the place, also ambient sounds become loud and loud sounds become quiet due to how it works... A real fix would be more than welcome.

I've never had to use that before and it's kinda stupid that we have to but hey it totallyworked for me, thanks <3

I have noticed quiet audio as well, I have fixed it though by setting my soundcard to 5.1 surround sound and then unselecting the speakers that you don't have (Example: Rear, Center and subwoofer). This will force any surround sound to be downmixed to Stereo audio and resolve the volume issue.

If you have a surround sound system, are experiencing the problem and want to make use of your surround sound system than I don't have an answer for you >.>"

This worked with me. I also have a 2 speaker (with sub) setup, and turned on "Full Range Speakers" in sound options. Now I can even hear bugs buzzing by my head, whereas before I could barely hear anything.

Same here. I am fortunate that I am using a external speaker system on my computer so I cna turn it up to a normal level for the game.
