If you are having issues with poor performance and/or UI glitches on newer AMD cards here's the fix.
The only issue I had was with my brand new AMD card it didn't run very well and had some UI glitches and artifacting even though I have a beefy card (which is common for the higher end newer AMD cards with this game apparently). However I found a simple solution...

IF YOU HAVE A NEWER AMD CARD DOWNLOAD DXVK FROM GITHUB AND SIMPLY PUT THE FILES "d3d9.dll" and "dxgi.dll" FROM THE x32 FOLDER IN THE GAME'S MAIN DIRECTORY WHERE DDDA.EXE IS LOCATED AND IT 100% FIXES ALL ISSUES.

https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases

Basically the DXVK software allows you to run the game using Vulkan instead of DirectX 9 even though the game doesn't have native Vulkan support. It works with any older games that you have issues with and the game not only will run without bugs but also will run super smooth. Keep in mind for the first hour or two you may have very minor lag spikes while Vulkan is build a cache but from then on it's very smooth.

TBH without this fix I was going to refund the game even though I loved what I was playing but it ran horribly on a TOP END AMD card and a lot of the UI had artifacting or was flat out missing in places like the character creation screen (couldn't even SEE my character while I was creating it). I was skeptical but this worked like a charm and took like 20 seconds to download and install.

Hope this helps people! This is a really great game btw! Lives up to all the hype I've heard over the past 10 years!!!

What a kind spirit you are, it works for me.
there are some lag spikes but it's because Vulcan needs to build the Cache for every new entity encountered (just like on Yuzu or Ryujinx emulators)
take some steam points will ya

try the async version if you're experiencing stuttering https://gitlab.com/Ph42oN/dxvk-gplasync/

though it's a bit more demanding compared to the vanilla one in my experience

I can confirm that the async version helped! Had severe stuttering with the normal dxvk version, async runs fine.
