Making sure I get quina as by beloved?

So I've got slene, aelinor and quina at max affection (assuming that's what the pink glow when I talk to them mean).

I've heard you end up with the last person you talked to with full affection as your love interest, and I just did the quest to help get a parting gift for quina as she's going to the cathedral, so without too many spoilers, is there anything I need to do or not do to make her my love interest? She's the last one with max affection I've spoken to. Do I need to avoid some quests or soemthing? If I talk to one of the others will I see quina again before the point where the love interest is decided so that I can reset her as the last talked to?

Just make sure you talk to the person with max affintiy you want as a beloved before you do the quest "Deny Salvation."

Ok great, but now that Quina is presumably sent off to the cathedral, will I get a chance to talk to her again before deny salvation? Or is she gone now and I need to avoid talking to anyone else with max affinity until after I do deny salvation?

I believe she goes to a cathedral overseas, so no, you dont get another chance. Fournival is the the true canon waifu anyways, go grab you some of that hot stuff

Ok, so I need to avoid talking to selene and aelinor before deny salvation then. I'm at "the final battle" where I'm going to face the dragon now, how long until the deny salvation?

no, you won't have a chance to see her again. You could probably piss off all the other characters with max affinity for you and hopefuly that will force the game to pick quina but I don't think that will work. I've only heard of people having quina's ending if they don't finish her quest line.

If you're at "the final battle" then you already completed Deny Salvation. Deny Salvation is the quest at the great wall where you confront the members of salvation. At the end of that quest you met the dragon again and after the castle crumbles your character stands up and sees the dragon flying away. If you had gifted the Arisen's Bond to a character and that character was picked as your beloved, then the ring (arisen's bond) would be seen falling from the sky and landing on the ground in front of you (you could then pick it up and gift it to other people if you want).

Yeah I just realized that. I'm playing the final battle now and I just met the dragon 2 minutes ago and suddenly Quina is in the room and the dragon refers to her as my beloved so I thought hold on a second and checked the completed quests and sure enough 3 quests ago was deny salvation.

She doesn't stay there if you finish her quest line. Once you complete all her quests she departs for the "Grand Cathidral" on "the Main Land" (where ever that is) and you never see her again.

You should just grab them all by - uhm, I meant. Well, the affinity system is overly complex and downright stupid. Most of the "main" or nearly canon love interests (like quina and mercedes) leave with their last quest (and your last chance to gain affinity) The game chooses the "Beloved" not considering the gift of the ring as a factor, but like this: the last person with maxed affinity you speak with WILL be *spoiler alert, obvious* kidnapped by the Dragon and end up as your Beloved. So, if you do the Duchess in Distress quest before Deny Salvation and after speaking to Quina or whoever you wanted as a beloved - you will get Aelinore.
