trying to edit a fuse model I made, in blender
So I looked up a tutorial on how to put a model made in fuse into blender so it could be edited. I followed the tutorial correctly mutiple times, but the most I could get into blender was a grey dot with the file name. How do I fix this? [img]https://imgur.com/a/SMRk7ck[img]

I'd say try zooming out, and maybe zooming in really close. Sometimes models imported from other apps can have odd scaling relative to Blender's scale. Or you can try scaling the imported model bigger or smaller.

Are you exporting an OBJ file and importing that, or are you downloading and importing a FBX from the auto rigger or are you trying to import the .FUSE file? Also, what build of FUSE are you using, Steam FUSE 1.3 or the Adobe FUSE CC?

I was exporting an OBJ file and importing that, and I was not aware Steam FUSE 1.3 was differnent then Adobe FUSE CC, the version I have I got free off of steam, but the only tutorials I could find online were for Adobe.

Right after importing (which will leave your imported model selected), press S and pull your mouse to the right to scale the whole thing up. At least this will let you see if something has been imported. BUT by seeing "Verts:0, Faces: 0, Tris: 0" in the top, I think nothing (an empty object) was imported.

I already tried scaling it, still a dot!

I just tried zooming in and out and it does nothing.

Well Goopher was right, if there no verts/faces, then there is no mesh there. I missed that when I looked at your screenshot. So the problem must be between Fuse's export, and Blender's importing.

Well, I just downloaded the Steam version of Fuse (the one you are using right?) and exported a model real quick. And it imported just fine into my Blender.

Maybe try exporting it from Fuse again?

I had multiple objects in the outliner when I imported my model. The hair, eyes, eyelashes, person, shirt, and pants were all their own objects. In your screenshot the outliner is too small to see much, how many objects does it list in yours? If I'm not mistaken, all you have is the camera, lights, and whatever you tried to import. Edit: Your screenshot seems to show only 3 objects.

So I'm guessing the error might be on Fuse's side somehow. Are you sure you exported it right from Fuse?

I don't know what is going on at your end. I tried exporting a model with 3 different settings from Fuse, and it worked all 3 times with me.

Have you tried different export settings and different exported models to see if some other combination worked?
