IMPORTANT: Platfinity Framerate / Stuttering / freezing issues solution
Framerate / stuttering / freezing issues can occur in Platfinity if controllers are plugged in or unplugged while using the software. All controllers should be plugged in before running Platfinity. These issues can also occur if controllers that are plugged in have been unplugged since the last reboot of Windows. Restarting Windows before running Platfinity™ will fix these issues.

I thought I should post this in the forums as questions about these issues have come up from time to time and the solution has always been related to game controllers. This is an issue with Windows handles game controllers and I have yet to find a better solution.

More details from the manual below:

Q.: How do I use a controller with Platfinity™?
A.: Plug in any controllers BEFORE you run the software. Most USB controllers that support XInput should work. Platfinity™ was designed with the XBox 360 controller in mind. Tested controllers include:
XBox 360 (Microsoft and Generic)
Steam Controller (can also be used to edit games!)
Logitech F310
PS3 (Generic)
pdp Versus Fighting Pad

If you experience stuttering or a low frame rate, wait about 30 seconds after plugging in your controller(s) before starting Platfinity™. Plugging in or unplugging controller(s) while using Platfinity™ may cause the software to freeze or have an extremely low framerate (such as 1 FPS). This can also happen if a controller has been unplugged since the last time you rebooted your system. Restarting Windows before running Platfinity™ will fix these issues.
