Bleeding is the worst!
How much cool loot have you missed out on because of bleeding? That awesome named weapon? Maybe that helmet that you really could never afford at the store?

Oh yeah, don't forget about all the experience lost and not attributed to your bros.

(Don't mind me. I am in rage mode because I just defeated a brigand hideout that had a patrol unit stuck on it to up the fun and the freaking hedge knight bled to death and took his awesome looking named axe with him to the afterlife)

What ?

Why would bleeding make loot disappear ?
Does it ?
Never noticed but if it's true then it's a bug

If I remember correctly, they implemented a change a while back that made enemies not drop loot if they were killed by an ally in battle. It sounds like an enemy dying to bleeding counts as being killed by an ally so it doesn't drop any loot. Not noticed this myself but I'd not be surprised if this was the case.

I second the "What ?"

I can imagine a bug where your brothers don't get awarded the XP for the kill, though I never noticed it (like it's happening with dogs, IIRC), but disappearing loot?

Edit: you should report that in the 'Bug' section

You do not get loot nor experience for defeated units that you did not kill on the battlefield. Your dogs, fellow allied units and the bleeding affix are not you and units that perish to them do not count for you.

Somw of this was to fix loot issues when having allied units do the work for you. I am sure many people have raged during the big noble war battles when an allied unit comes and snipes the last hit on Sir Whomever that you had whittled down.

That deserves confirmation and if true an actual bug report in the appropriate section

That i know and is an entirely different matter that totally makes sense, otherwise pulling enemies into friendly patrols would be much too easy to exploit.

Allies/dogs killing enemies doesn't give loot/exp. Didn't know about bleeding not giving loot but makes sense as it doesn't give exp.

I sure as hell hope this is a bug. Logically bleed-kills not granting loot or experience doesnt make any sense in the slightest, and if this is an actual feature, then cleavers really suck *ss.
Perhaps a moderator would want to have a look into this thread and maybe move it to the bug section or smth. Sounds worrying.

Obviously this is not intended though, no need to get mad about it

Wow, if this is true, I need to stop using cleavers.
Guiflick Mar 21, 2017 @ 2:54pm
Just need to report to the devs, probably they fix it in the next update.
nightworg Mar 21, 2017 @ 3:18pm
Are you sure that is the case. I use goblin polearms against light armored ememies for the bleed and the added movement. I havent notice I loose on drops and xp if they bleed out.

If this is true, yes, this needs to be fixed.

Yeah, Bleeding should be a WAY of killing armored foes to GET their nifty armor, not lock it out.

of course when two groups fight eachother not my units I still get a limited amount of loot.
