Linux version ?

Hi,
I've preordered the game some time ago, it's over one month since release day and there is still lack of news on linux release. Any chanse to get update on that ? No rush from my side, I am just curious.

Linux: We want to hand the build to our Linux guy when the base translations are working and version 1.1.0 is stable.

Many thanks, I am glad that the Linux version will be out and you will keep the promisse.
Take your time, personally I would like to get a fully polished product rather than containing bugs or another issues. Keep ut the good work !

Sorry for the wait, as you know we have been waiting for version 1.1 which is out now and stable, plus this process costs money, which luckily I now have some of, so over the next week will work with monkey05_06 to get a Linux version up. Thanks for your patience!

The Linux version is now in the testing branch (opt in to betas and use password: killingmemories )

We would be grateful for some feedback (as to whether it works or not) before pushing it into the public realm.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for posting an update and releasing the private beta. I've unlocked it via password, and selected properly from beta menu, however I have no idea why; there is lack of download button, and I am simply unable to install it, and I am pretty sure that I've done everything right...
Of course, I would love to test it, however at this moment I am unable to do so.

Thanks for the note. I'm not too sure right now what else gets downloaded or how you load it (I thought it was just a different launcher for Linux), I will doublecheck with the chap asap. What you could do for me in the meantime is confirm what "Build" you have (under Properties > Local Files) and I can check if you got the Linux version or not successfully. regards!

Hi again Mark, thank you for fast answer. My 'Local Files' tab is blank, I have the buttons, however I can't press them - they are simply unactive. On 'Betas' tab I have however 'linuxtest -' selected properly. I've did not downloaded the game via steam on windows (because I don't have that os), so it's 'fresh blank copy' of the game on steam.

Hi, thanks for the info. No experience of linux myself, I'm not sure if it now says "download for linux"? Please have a look. Something obviously needs to be installed... I would advise installing whatever is available and then you'll get a Linux launch option? I will point monkey05_06 here to help if that isn't the case?

Thanks for the vid! I've moved it to the default branch, so if you want to come off the beta option and just try and install the base game and let me know? There was also another setting that may have prevented it from installing to Linux which I've also changed, so please try again. regards!

Hi Mark, I've already tried normal version (default branch), beta linux, and translation test. Nothing works, same scenario as on the video on every branch. Of course, I've even deleted local game content to verify if it will download files while switching branchs, without a luck. So far it's not working, sadly. Thanks for looking into it in advance ! I do really appreciate it,

Thanks, I've done all I can , everything is set up as it should be from what I can tell, so have asked monkey05_06 to take a look.

There was a missing setting on the backend site. The Linux files should now be included in the beta package. Sorry about the mix-up. Please let me know if it's working, as I won't have access to a Linux machine for some time.

Thanks, yes I think monkey_05_06 found the issue. It should be possible now to install it without needing to be signed up to beta. Let us know!
