What is the difference between DirectX 11 and 12? :-/

You will only see benefits with DX12 with AMD cards to be fair in this game as AMD cards use it so well right now. But the DX12 benefits in this game aren't going to be nothing major as it's early days for the tech in general.

Ok, but what excactly does it do? I really can't see any difference at all. :-/

me too i thought the graphics were slightly sharper, but im not really seeing much and yes im using a gtx 960 and losing bout 10 fps

Because Nvidia cards were not built to handle DX12. only AMD built their cards to benefit from DX12 because they have Async Compute, but Nvidia don't have it.

Gets more performance out of hardware by being more efficient.

it is Nvidia , nothing is related to CA for not putting a directx 12 on nvidia card

AMD DX11 drivers suffered from bad CPU overhead which caused their cards to under preform. DX12 helps remove some of that overhead allowing their cards to perform as they should. Nvidia GPU's didn't have this issue and are not seeing much benefit from reduced CPU overhead.

Just use DX11 if on Nvidia 9xx or older series cards.
