Not that much of a feedback, but more of my opinion about the agenda you guys walking.
Adding a PvP toy, when there is no game mechanic or reason to actually engage in PvP.
So I dont see a point, adding a rifle to the game, really.
btw, I dont count Piracy as PvP. Piracy only works on new unaware and not paying attention players. Otherwise Piracy is impossible, since, you know, warp 1 is godmode.

Instead of adding items, I woujld love to see adding game mechanics.
Some motivation to do something else then gathering ressources.
You guys added trading and mining drones, but the economic system does not work.
So besides adding new mechanics, fixing existing things would also be nice.
Like : the features suggested ocuntless times for the editor. you know, mirroring, etc.
The mentioned solar revamp. Supply/Demand in NPC shops is broken, so is trading,
with well known exploit still in place. Luxury whishes like player factions/stations/territory.
(oh, that would be a reason for PvP, right ?)

Not a ramble, just saying.

Some thoughts on the ship editor, any chance of adding a clipboard style thing a bit like on KSP so a room could be be pre-built copied and used for multiple ships. I can see an issue with mirroring since the builds are of a freeform and often uneven design I don't really see how mirroring could be implemented. I have often longed for an auto exterior function, which I appreciate might not be possible, but if it could be made so the editor could sort of scan the ship and add blocks automatically to round of edges to at least give a start point.

I agree with you there are more pressing tasks than adding a rifle. However, the main focus of this patch was the performance optimization. In game development, you have a programming team and an art team (in our company there are people who do both, like myself). While the programming team was mainly focused on the optimizations, the art team went on to finish this rifle model we had laying around, as it is fairly minor to implement in the code and could be implemented within a day (it's basically a modified pistol), which gave more time for more optimizations. So i hope that gives you a little more insight as to why it was added.

I totally upvote efforts in performance optimization.

Hi guys! Another nice patch (and a great game!). While I have nothing to say regarding this patch, I'd like to jump on the "missing content bandwagon".

I usually play with my girlfriend, and we like to play in local server. Of course, missions are the main focus of our travels, but as it is now, missions are fun just the first time - go there, bring this, kill that.

Have you considered adding more complicated and structured missions? For example, yesterday something happened: we had to bring some materials to a station. When we arrived, that station was under attack and was destroyed, and the mission failed. It would have been much better if, in that circumstance, the mission updated with a "find the responsible and avenge that station".

The idea is: start with a basic mission, but then create a RNG system that can alter the mission with different objectives based on circumstances.
You need reasons to keep players in the game, not only in the ship builder. Yesterday there where 10-12 people playing in servers, and 65 people playing the game, meaning that almost everyone was playing solo or building ships...

Please, PLEASE, don't take any of my words as criticism, you guys did in 2-3 years what other games couldn't do with 300 people (you know who I'm referring to :D). It takes only THIS little to have the best space game ever :)

Hello! Is it planned to rework the stations spawn system or it will ramain as it is now? And, yes, you doing a good work, but this question bothers me since the patch which has added system events.

I love the ship editor and have spent more than 200 hours in it and I love testing my ships in space, but I dont really know where this game is getting at...I understand the point of rifles and guns for action, but IR will never be a really cool fighting game (the concept of creating ships just to fight each other seems a bit odd to me), so why not concentrate on trade and exploration similar to the better bits of Elite Deangerous and the X-series?

Dont get me wrong: fights are okay and probably necessary, but I think you should be able to do something else if you want to (again Elite Dangerous seems a good reference here).

Please keep up on this project, its a childhood dream come true, but we need something more to DO and EXPLORE.

Wanted level is not working. Combat drones does not fly to the player.

So, IR will never be a "cool fighting game". Ok, maybe. But you dont think your argument through to the end. It will also never be a "cool Elite game" nor a "cool X Tycoon game".
So whats the point of your void argument then?!
I guess the point should be that the devs need to bring all the current, loose ends together somehow somewhen. Thats not about a fighting game, Elite or X - Its about IR currently being mostly a collection of losely integrated and mostly disconnected systems.

That's true. Sometimes there's a feeling that the IR guys are great programmers and graphics and so on, but they lack a game designer. This game can be awesome. Not an awesome Star Citizen clone, or an awesome Elite clone, or an awesome X clone. It can be an awesome Interstellar Rift. But you guys, really stop adding things to the ship, and start adding things outside the ship. If you know what I mean :)
