key Binding?

hey guys, i've been playing this for a while, and for the life of me, i cannot bind certain keys to save my life. i've tried the way the game tells me: bind <key> [command], but nothing's worked! think some of you can help?

Make sure [command] is surrounded by quotes (") if the command has any spaces in it.

If that doesn't work, give us an example of a bind you tried so we can go off of that.

impulse 200
and the key i want to bind is m

alright, so the following bind command works:

bind m "impulse 200"

Just make sure that you have sv_cheats enabled:

sv_cheats 1

(impulse 200 won't work without cheats)

Impulse 200 is the holster animation command for weapons...

You want "save quick" and "load quick", although when saves are stacking, they will replace each other (be careful).

I personally use:

bind f3 "save quick"
bind f4 "save quick"

and F5 for "load quick"

that way you'll be able to quick save and quick load without trouble. for saves that you want to "safely save", use the menu option for "save game", instead of quicksaving.

thanks for the help, my problem was that i wasn't binding the keys correctly
