RTP not being recognized
Last night I had everything working just fine, but for some reason today the program decided to stop recognizing the RTP!

Every single new project I start isn't even just water, it's all black as if there is no tileset. If I go to the database everything is blank. There are no tilesets, animations, systems, face sets, or anything. I would have to import the files from the RTP, which should just show up.

I have deleted the program multiple times, but the problem still persists. Is there any way for me to point the program at the RTP, or am I just going to have to live with this frustrating problem.

By any chance did you import a project from the unofficial RPG Maker 2003?
IF this is the case, the RTP files have been renamed in the official version.
Simply have your project point to the new name/files of the "new" RTP.

If this has happened just with a brand new project on the Steam version, I'm not sure what would cause this.
Verify that the RTP files are in the correct folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RPG Maker 2003\RTP

Also, try verifying the game cache and make sure you didn't delete any files in your project's folder.

I did import a project, but did not change the RTP. This is happening with brand new projects I'm creating with the Steam version. When I go in to the database to try and point them to RTP files, there are no options. The program is not recognizing that there are things in the RTP folder.

I've verified the game cache as well. If there was something weird with the RTP you'd think that once it was deleted and re-installed it would be fixed, but that's not the case.

Edit: I just installed it on a different computer in my house and it works fine there. I double checked to see if the RTP files have the same names and they do...

Edit 2: Well I went to the official RPG maker site and downloaded the RPG Maker 2003 RTP. It worked. As far as I can tell steam is downloading version 1.0 of the RTP and the program is looking for 1.10a, which is what's on the website...

They told me that they uploaded the wrong RTP to there Webside.
They wanted to Tell me in the other Thread as soon the New RTP is uploaded.
Maybe your Problem is caused by that.
They exidentally mixed up the rm2k and the rm2k3 rtp.

Iam also waiting for the release. They said today is Holiday in Japan and i believe they need something from the japan devs, thats maybe why she said that they get to it after the hollidays.

Means if we are lucky we get it Today, or next Monday. Would mean a Weekend without rm2k3 for us. Bad for those who allready bought it.
