WARNING: Mafia III DOES NOT work on Intel/AMD CPUs without SSE 4.1/4.2 support, Developer looking into it
Crashes at desktop just like MGS V and No Mans Sky.
Both games were patched by devs later, and worked fine on Phenom CPUs, so lets see if these devs fix it.

Hi Pyro,

Thank you for contacting 2K Support, and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to play Mafia III as the game is crashing upon start-up. I want to genuinely apologize that it was not listed in advance that you could not run the game if you have a Phenom 2 processor and that SSE 4.1 is not supported.

Having said that, I am truly sorry but as a technical support we won't be able to help you with this issue.

Are you seriously complaining about modern games not working on 10 year old cpu's? I imagine a board with the right socket for a phenom only has about 4gb of ram at max anyway

Wow aren't you ignorant? Phenom II CPUs were released in 2010, 6 years ago.
And the motherboards support upto 32 GB of RAM.
Almost all games run maxed out at 60 fps.

My channel is full of latest games running maxed out:

Almost 7 years ago that is along time in tech.

Yeah but all games run fine. Its just an oversight by devs. All games which had this issue were fixed in a day or two.

What bottleneck when I can play all games at 1080p60fps?
I'm surprised that anyone would continue to punish themselves playing with AMD these days...it seems like almost every new release has a number of posts from AMD gamers reporting problems on day one.

Yeah, I will be switching to Intel in 2017 first quarter.

Couple of other Phenom users are also facing same issue.
