Just to add a bit of context — McAfee had previously flagged the game's .exe by mistake. That issue has now been resolved: https://imgur.com/a/z3roYeF
Since McAfee comes pre-installed on many PCs, some players mistakenly thought there was a problem with carz.exe.

The AV flagged it for including Steam DRM? Really? Is it just the inherent jank of the entire game that this somehow managed to trip the AV engine unlike on 100,000 other Steam games with Steam integration? Now that's something.

Nice, it didn't seem like the game needed it anyway. It almost makes it feel like Silent's legacy of the games he's modded determined that this game shall continue to be abandoned forever, lol

Pretty stupid heuristic pattern, to be honest, with this knowledge anyone can fill their binary with garbage data to bypass this. Shame, when fully functional games like this manage only ~500 kB

Ok I get it, so what's next to re-released old games? Like driver San Francisco? Or other games that didn't had a pc port?

Ubisoft is alive and kicking, they're just not interested in making the game available again, probably due to car/music licenses.
