HOTAS Warthog, button mode hold/toggle
Hi,

I recently acquired a hotas Warthog, and it seems to be awesome.
But i got a problem setuping the controls.

I want to setup the landing gear on one of the on/off switch, but i can't find any option to put the button mode in hold mode instead of toggle. So to deploy the landing gear i have to put the switch up then down, i just want to put it up to deploy it and down to retract it (the cargo scoop deployment works like that and it's perfect).

There is a box on some others controls like cargo scoop where you can set the button mode (choice between hold / toggle).
I looked in the configurations xml files and tried added <ToggleOn Value="0" /> to <LandingGearToggle> , like in <ToggleCargoScoop> , with no success.

Is there a solution for that ?

Exchange the switches on the throttle for momentary ones ;-)

No solution, at least not in game. Warthog is supported by Target software (you need to download it separately from Thrustmaster), where you can write scripts, but I don't know if translation from bi-stable to mono-stable operation can be achieved this way (haven't tried that yet). I do double-flips to deploy and retract landing gear or turn the lights on and off.

OP, it's been a while since I had my Warthog to play around with, but IIRC, you can just bind each bi-stable swtch state to the same command. Sadly, that was the most graceful solution I found for converting bi-stables to use toggle commands in most games without resorting to scripting.

You would have the switch UP bound to landing gear toggle and DOWN bound as the secondary binding also to landing gear toggle. Then you synchonize the switch state to your current landing gear state at game launch (can also be re-synced when you're in esc menu or station services, etc.).

So, if you know you last docked at a station before you logged, gear are down and you put the switch where you'd like it to be for gear down when starting the game, and vice versa if you logged out in space with gear retracted just put the switch where you'd like it for gear retracted when starting the game. For the rest of that session it should function more like a switch rather than a toggle.

That's actually brilliant, not sure why I didn't think of that!
