A single line on the SRV scanner - is something there?
I'm driving around with the SRV and most of the time I get a single upper line on the scanner. I drive quite a distance but find nothing. Is it necessary to get more than one line on the scanner for it to mean anything? There are times when I get no lines at all - obviously that means nothing close by ahead, but I can't figure out why the single line is so common yet doesn't bring me to anything...

The closer you get to whatever is on the radar, the more defined the lines will be. When only 1 line pops up, it's usually either picking up a ghost signal, or it's over 2K away. Lines across the bottom of the radar is usually rocks. The lines across the top of the radar is a point of interest like a parked ship, a cargo stash, installation, wrecked ship, downed satellite etc.

The bottom of the scanner represents natural features, rocks and such. The top is for man made objects, bases, canisters, crashed probes. With practice you can identify what you're driving towards.

the poi's that you find while in your srv like ships and probes, will they show up after scanning the planet?
