Bluescreen when enabling Vive Pre camera: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
Whenever I enable the Vive Pre's camera, the system immediately bluescreens with the error "APC_INDEX_MISMATCH". All firmware is up to date, and I'm running a fairly stripped down Windows 10 system.

I can supply a dump file, just let me know where to send it.

Ah, I'm seeing this on a Win8 computer as well.

Has anyone found a solution / root cause for this? I get a BSOD whenever I launch SteamVR with the HMD attached.

APC_INDEX_MISMATCH caused by driver:ntoskrnl.exe at address:743c0

Solved: The issue was caused by “DisplayLink” drivers. Once they were removed the bluescreens went away.

Is there any hope of DisplayLink being supported? I got a USB display for portability sake specifically to use when demoing and at hackathons, but am running into this issue, rendering it useless. Even if it's a no, any response would be appreciated. Still in the 30 day return window.

Confirmed! I uninstalled DisplayLink drivers and the bluescreens have stopped. Thanks, davefmyers.

I can confirm this also. SERIOUS bummer as I use a DisplayLink on the same laptop I want to use for VR all the time.

I have the same issue. Uninstalling the display link driver isn't an option as they are being used in the simpit.

Experiencing this same issue.. Asus USB display with DisplayLink and HTC Vive don't mix. The moment I start up SteamVR and the HTC Vive light goes green I get a bluescreen with APC_INDEX_MISMATCH. Removing the DisplayLink driver allowed SteamVR to start, but this breaks my sim setup plain and simple and isn't really acceptable.
