HDMI Monitor + HTC Vive won't work together?
Good afternoon,

I got a problem. When I have plug same time a HDMI monitor + HTC Vive, any VR app won't show up in Vive. It shows just a test room. Head tracking works (seeing it in the display mirror).

When I connect my DVI Monitor + HTC Vive everything works fine.
Unfortunately, I can't use just my DVI monitor, due to the HDMI monitor the main one (4K 65inch 60ghz).
Changed cables, checked all ports in different combinations, nothing helped.
Is there any workaround to make it work?

system: i74790k, 32gb, 1x1080, 2x980.

Thanks!

Did you connect monitor and Vive to same video card?
Do you use HDMI-to-DP adapter for Vive? How you connect Vive? to HDMI port of your video card? Or to DP port?

Hi Sergio, thanks for your reply!
I tried to connect to same video card, after that I tried to connect in different cards, switching the ports. Didn't help.
I don't use HDMI-to-DP connector, would it work?
Right now, HTC connected via HDMI to 1080 in the first pci slot.
DVI + HDMI monitors in 980 pci slot 2.

Connect Vive without adapters.
Connect Vive and all monitors to same card. If there is not enough HDMI ports, DVI ports, then use adapters HDMI-to-DP, DVI-to-DP for your monitors.

Monitors and Vive on diffrent video card may work... or may not work. Some people have problems, some havn't. I recommend to connect Vive and all monitors to one card.

Will try to buy a HDMI to DP adapter and see what will happen.

Sounds like you were using both the integrated HDMI (on the motherboard) and the HDMI from the graphics card. Use only ports on the graphics card for Vive compatibility.

If you need to use displayport instead of HDMI, use the integrated adapter in the link box. You'll need a displayport to mini-displayport cable.

Hi Ben, I don't use onboard card.
I have a few display ports, I just don't know if adapter will support 60ghz for my 65inch 4k monitor. Display port supports, but adapter who knows (there's 1.2 protocol).
Will try and will publish positive or negative results.
