Report a translation problem
First, make sure the controller buttons are correctly configured. You can do this in Settings > Configure Controls. Your controller has to be connected to your PC when you do this.
If that doesn't help, launch Steam in Big Picture Mode (it's the white button with two arrows in your Steam library toolbar). Then, go to Library > Trine > Manage Game > Controller Configuration. This often helps if configuring the controls directly from the game didn't work.
If neither of those help you could also try an emulator program. We have heard from some users that x360ce should work without issues, at least on Windows PCs.
Did you try the tips suggested in the previous message? They have helped others with similar issues, so I recommend testing them in case you haven't already. Sorry for any inconvenience.
